Gonna try it, as its better than alerting you ''Am here''. But they rather should just do a ''click'' sound, then boom!

I remember setting off a mine that i could disable since their beeps are loud as hell, then i see a wild dog run to me an immediately explode on a mine. Annoys me a little bit that mines take so long. Better in NV where they beep for half a second and then explode.

Would love a version of this, just "click" and boom, perfect!

Haha I was looking for the opposite, something that would make it beep for longer so you have time to move away.

this does only change the sound file.
i don't know it the timer for the mines could be changed with FO4edit...or if we would need the GECK...

If someone could mod into the game, that mines can't be targeted using V.A.T.S. (to easily discover them), this would contribute to a truly paranoid gameplay.

However I also understand those people, who feel like the beeping sound is just part of the suspension of disbelief element of the game, which is a completely normal thing to have in any kind of entertainment (like displays counting down to the explosion, whereas real bombs don't have that).
