You are probably right, but it was kind of complicated to make (for a knife), that's why I made it.. ;-) .. As for fantasy or tactical, I just call it tactical for no reason, its actually MTECH USA XTREME MX-8054 replica, so, all fantasy think is their fault!! :D
I know this is wicked late but, I legit own a real version of this knife.... it is very practical for many uses from processing game to batoning wood. best knife i've ever owned.
this is just a modder's resource, there's no weapon here, just the tools to make one. I did do that using these resources, however. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29819
Has anyone been able to convert this to a nif that accepts .bgsm files? I can make it a nif just fine, but it won't accept textures and I'm unsure as to why. can anyone point me in the right direction, please? i figure it has something to do with the mtl, assbin, and fbx files that come with it
mtl and assbin files are exported wit high poly model. Are high poly even needed for this to work??? Textures are for low poly model, maybe that is the problem. High poly isn't unwrapped since I only used it in Substance Painter to create normals...
I got everything textured and into a working .nif and .esp file. would you mind if I upload it and credit you with the mesh files (and inspiration)? I did end up having to retexture the mesh myself (not my strong suit, but I used the real knife so the patterns and whatnot are close enough to the real deal (branding included)
Looks a lot like a knife made by another modder by the name MikeMoore, Maybe you can get in talks to use this rather than his low-rez version. Or better yet ,i think he has some mod tutorials on how to make melee weapon mods if your interested.
