I tried that, but i was merging like 4 or 5 mods together and after deleted the masters, everything got messed up. some of my form ID's were duplicate. I'm not really sure about it all. I am not a modder, i just like things the way i like them.
Copying as override will only work if your mods dont have the same formIDs in them. Like 0100099 and 02000099 will likely conflict if copied as override. Otherwise, copy away. I have also found it useful to copy what wont overwrite anything as override and copy what will as new record.
Thanks. Im gonna upload more as i get more in-depth. With all the modders out there, seems like you can hardly get a clear answer on anything. Hopefully this will help people who are really fustrated because mods dont work together or something is out of place. Now they can just try to fix it themselves before asking, hoping and wishing someone else will.
Hmm. Is it worth it to study this, and another tutorial just to merge ESPs? I can't wait for Wyre Bash for FO4 to include bashed patching so I don't need to take a test just to reduce my load limit.
Still though, thanks. If I decide I can't take these load times any longer I might look into this but I really wish it could be automated.
Be careful what you try to merge. One mod might seem like it doesn't have much in it, but once you get into color swaps and materials, it can be a hike up mount Everest.
I do it more for convience. Had some body mods that weren't compatable to face mods, so i combined them. I repack my mods after i tweak them, that way my tweaks dont get overwritten by mistake.
