I'm too good-looking for this job!

Is power armor too OP? Not really, normal armor is just too weak! But hey, that's what mods are for at the end of the day, so here's another one: this part of my "Eisenwolf's Legacy" mod collection adds a new clothing item to the Commonwealth: the Battlecoat. This highly modular armored coat allows you to equip two arm pieces and a helmet (although two appropriate pieces of headgear are also included in this mod), can be equipped with ballistic weave, and offers a ton of modifications to make your life in the Commonwealth a lot easier. Oh, and it also has a little secret built into it ...

Installation

1. Install Eisenwolf's Legacy (see the link above) and do the small
introduction quest if you haven't already. Once it's done simply create a
new savegame and log out.
2. Install this mod using NMM and continue from the savegame you just created.

About this mod

The Battlecoat can be crafted at the Eisenwolf Workbench. It's not very cheap, but once you have tested it out for a bit you won't regret it. All the modifications, however, are added on the vanilla armor workbenches as usual. If you start to modify the coat, you will notice that the mods are listed TWICE in each category, with half of them being disabled. This is not an accident as every single modification of the Battlecoat is actually VISIBLE on the outside! For this reason I had to create a custom mesh for both male and female characters, as their skeletons do not allow interchangeable armor mesh modifications.

How do I look? B)

Time for the obligatory modification list. Better get some coffee, this is gonna take a while ...

The Battlecoat:

Garment:

- Standard
- Insulating (provides 50 energy resistance)
- Ballistic Tiles (provides 15 physical damage resistance)
- Hazmat (provides 100 RAD resistance)

Back:
- Standard (nothing)
- Backpack (increases carry weight by 150)
- Sleeping bag. Adds a new item to your MISC tab, the -= Portable Sleeping Bag =- . Just drop this item onto a plain and flat surface (WARNING: it will not work on slopes, even very slight ones!!!) and if it's leveled enough it will spawn a usable green sleeping bag as a bed. You can either sleep in it or pack it up, returning the misc item to your inventory again.
- Both the sleeping bag and the backpack. If you simply can't decide what you like more. :]

Pouches:
- Standard (nothing)
- Postal bag (increases carry capacity by 75)
- Portable cooking station. As with the sleeping bag, this will add a new MISC item to your inventory, the -= Portable Cooking Kit =-. Drop it onto a flat and level surface, and it will turn into a usable cooking station. Cook, eat, pack it up again and back to business!
- Both items combined. No further explanation necessary.

Augmentations:
- Standard (none)
- Ammo pouches (improve carry weight, damage resistance and energy resistance by 25)
- Stealth field (an improved stealthboy which makes you invisible as long as you are crouching and not moving. Basically the legendary Chameleon effect)
- Experimental Dispersion Field (a powerful electromagnetic field which reduces incoming damage by 20 % when blocking or sprinting, which is a beefier version of the legendary Cavalier's effect)
- RAD-Scrubber (an automatic RadAway/RadX dispenser. Adds 100 RAD resistance)
- Nuka-Dispenser (two Nuka-Cola bottles taped together with a long straw == permanently increased AP regeneration. Legendary Powered effect x 1.5)
- Painkiller (Auto-Stim meets Auto-MedX. If your health drops below 50 %, it give you a shot of MedX. If it drops below 25 % it'll also add a Stimpak to the mix)
- Targeting computer (The Fallout 4 GoPro. Increases your hitchance by 10 % and reduces AP costs by 10 % in V.A.T.S.)

The Wolfpack Hat and the Wolfpack Hood:

- both can be equipped with ballistic weave
- both have an additional improvement slot to either increase their physical damage resistance or their energy resistance by 10, or a combination of both but only for 5 points
- the hat can also be used in combination with glasses and/or a bandana

The Combat Armor arm pieces:

Standard Combat Armor arm pieces (not sturdy or heavy!) can now be equipped with a new material, the Eisenwolf modification. It both changes their appearance and adds both 7 damage and energy resistance, making it as protective as sturdy Combat Armor arm pieces with a polymer mod (but notably lighter). Not very cheap but worth the effort if you have a legendary arm piece you want to use.

Known bugs

If you want to add both the cooking kit and the sleeping bag, you need to exit the workbench after applying the first modification! Otherwise the portable MISC item you added first will be removed as soon as you added the second one.
Also, being in its infancy the mod probably will have some clipping issues here and there with the arm pieces. I will make some subtle changes to the coat mesh to reduce this issue asap.

Todo

- Improve the textures
- optimize the mesh to be more compatible with arm pieces
- add a few extra clothing items which will not be as customizable as the Battle coat but give the lore more "fluff" - also, l who doesn't like apparel which can accept ballistic weave? ^^
