I'm falling behind on maintaining this page, If there is someone who'd like to come on board to help keep these patches up to date, that would be appreciated by many more people than just me. Even if you can only help with some of the patches, that would be great. Just update a patch and send it to me, I'll check it to see if you got it correctly and I'll put you on as a moderator. Sorry for the broken promises, hugs and kisses -inkblack

Will the Tales of the Commonwealth Horizon patch be compatible with Horizon 1.8?

the best answer is: most of my patches should be updated and rebalanced for all the new Horizon stuff. However, I'm totally out of the loop regarding FO4. Someone else needs to take over my patch page...

Other answer: TotC is naturally pretty friendly with Horizon as far as balance. so the patch might still be ok.

the truth is, I was never able to fully mod/patch TotC (regarding scripted quests that could be exploited for caps, etc.) So, you'll still need to self-moderate when it comes to that stuff.

First off, thanks for all the great patches.

And I don't think most of care as much about balance changes and currency balances. It's like if we want to exploit money we'll use console commands lol. The only thing that really matters is will it crash games and corrupt save files.

I wish I could remember what causes save corrupts, I think it has to do with scripts, my patches don't have their own scripts, But it's possible that with TotC there are some scripts copied into the patches. I would guess that worst case scenario, if there's some incompatibility caused by these old patches, then just uninstalling TotC and the patch, then make a new save and reinstall TotC without the patch, would fix things.

I don't suppose the diamond city patch could be adjusted to take care of the flickering that comes from diamond city expansion?
I know the DCE page says to load it last, but we can't load non-horizon esps after horizon without a lot of risk. I loaded the DCE patch last, but it's not enough to stop the flickering, which is really serious.
I've been searching far and wide on the net for an answer, but somehow it really looks loike no one uses horizon with DCE, which can't be right. There has to be a solution to the flickering. But the instructions on the horizon site very clearly state something like five times that non-horizon esps can't be loaded after horizon.
    Very frustrating.

So, I haven't looked, but off the top of my head, I think any flickering problem isn't easily fixed with a patch. rather it's a load order issue.

Try re-installing and unselecting any Horizon changes to DC. If that doesn't work, take note of all mods that might affect DC, e.g. Tales of the Commonwealth, and play around with different load orders

Flicker problems are usually from game files related to in game textures and object placement which are over-writing each other. It's not something a typical .esp patch will fix.

Hey dude, I had this same exact issue as well. Just not using the optional homebase add-on for horizon worked for me, and I could load it before horizon without it flicking.

Anyone using the Settlers of the Commonwealth patch with 1.8...?

Congrats of v1.8 coming out. I bet everyone's really excited. Looks like a lot of new content. Unfortunately, I'm completely out of the loop, I haven't read up on the new version, and i wouldn't even know where to start to try and update these patches.

Would be great if someone could come on board and take over. I don't really have any free time that I spend on gaming, apart from some silly idle rpg on my phone. If you're trying to get a hold of me and I'm not responding here then find me on "afk arena" my name there is inkblack, shoot me a message and I'll set you up to take over this page.

i can try to help but im noob/idiot
      all i know is that:
      - leveled lists have to be checked
      - containers have to be checked
      - fauna should be unbreakable
      - ingestibles need downgrades
      - npcs need to be checked (perks/items)
      - items need icons (optional in horizon but many patches add them)

any tips what else needs to be done?

      late reply, sorry.
Well, i believe all the info/materials I have, can be DLed here. So for tips, I think you could just take a patch that you use and make sure it's up to date. If it's not, update it. you can upload it separately, if I don't respond timely, and if it looks good, I'll bring you on borad as an admin once i get back.
Second: if you find a patch is working and still up to date and balanced with v1.8 and fully/logically integrating relevant v1.8 features; you can post here to let everyone know. that's also very helpful.
thanks for you interest, i hope you save the day, friend!

Hey inkblack85, could you tell me what the reverb and ambiance patch does exactly? I just came across it and haven't seen it mentioned before.

Zawinul's gun ediits override R&A's. like indoor gun fire and distant gun shots. there was another patch in nexus for these two mods, that might be more up to date, but mine incorporates a third mod with FOMOD options to use all three together.

that patch, not sure if the two are different, isn't really finished. I wanted to do much more with it. can't say if it's working still but what it managed to do was at least limit the loot from all the chickens and eggs. and made some cooking recipes. but it never implemented well into the crop/harvest system; which was what i wanted to eventually do. lemme know if recipes are broken or things like that, I can fix that.

I'm guessing the one on this page has the most work done, if it's diff.

God, I do make patches myself (personally), especially for horizon. Thus, I know how hard and sometimes painful it is. Really appreciate your work as well as other patch makers out there (including those who gave up because they can't keep up anymore).
    Hug and kiss back.

      cheers homie,
I see my last update was Nov. last year... wow. I haven't opened FO since then. I'll try to put aside some time to Update FO and the mods I use and see if I can't update these patches to Hz v1.7.6
I still haven't had anyone reach out and ask to take over this page. The offer still stands!

ok, I updated all my mods and the game... and I spent an hour looking at mod compatibility. I don't see any conflicts. so I think the patches still work.

What I don't know is if there is v1.7.6 content that's not being included or implemented.

So, I'm taking feedback on any conflicts, i'll try to fix them

Dude why did you change the hairs from wasteland Heroines? I mean I understand they clip and all but why enforce your tastes down everyone else's throat? Uncool bro

get a leaf bra, Clipping isn't a matter of taste. If you want to make a patch that fixes the clipping, maybe incorporates some other armor mod that fits, go for it, upload it and I'll post a link to it in the description. You can use my patch as a template and even include the FOMOD options. In fact, look under the hood at the patch and give that a try so you have an idea of what you're actually asking for.

Its seems like Tales from the Commonwealth and Settlers from the Commonwealth patches works fine with Horizon 1.7.1 and no problems has been detected.
