I need to get this because it's apparently the only way to stop insta-dying when you jump while sprinting slightly downhill :S Gotta love Bethesda's 2 feet difference between taking 0 damage and insta-dying

Thanks I use this and it works as you say.
LOOT is making a comment about the version number.
"This plugin has a header version of 0.94, which is less than the game's minimum supported header version of 0.95."
I use Vortex and it clearly shows the same version you posted,  version 1.0.
    LOOT needs to be updated.
If it works is it not supported(?), and LOOT has it wrong.

      Edited reply 7th June 2023
The message may just be trying to be a "helpful" alert (which may not be important) about internal header info in the mod. Mod managers can be overkill/mistaken or not user-friendly at times and over/mis-interpreted. And LOOT is not all that reliable. Opinions differ on the best mod manager for FO4 but personally I mod FO4 manually anyway as I'm old school (PC gaming since the 1980s).

But always be wary of mods from 2015 (when the game was new and folks didn't have bespoke FO4 modding tools). And if you ever find this old mod's not working properly, take a look at Adamantium Skeleton Improved. Either way, hope you got it sorted.

P.S. there's also the new mod I am sick of dying goddamit, which apparently stops fall damage and stops vehicles exploding. But note to address the problem of vehicles blowing up too easily I personally use Tougher Destructible Static Vehicles.

@Arlodon - in future, after someone tries to help, don't merely come back and edit your question as it can make the answerer appear to have misread it. This is bad form after I sent you a PM letting you know my suggestions which you didn't bother to acknowledge. My answer may not have been helpful to you but I was only making an effort because no one had replied to you in months.

Awesome mod it works, but it would be even cooler if the player didn't grunt from falling.

Mod works... kinda. I'm still getting damage, but it's minuscule. *EDIT* Actually I forgot I have the Freefall Greaves so... I kinda don't need this mod after all, heh

Don't be discouraged by some of the other comments, this definitely still works.

Fallout 4 keeps disabling this mod for me and won't even let me re-order it in the mod load order. I have to use Nexus Mod Manager to change the load order of it--if load order even matters for this mod?! does anyone know?--, but that's black screen freezing on me now and not working.
When the mod IS enabled, I'm still taking large chunks of fall damage.
Can anyone recommend a work around? I'm heading to the mass fusion building in game now to see if I can get those free-fall leggings for my naked stealth-vulpine character.
(waited for the Vulpine race mod to complete before buying Fallout 4, so I'm new here)

Currently, when I can keep it active for a short time, this mod is the final mod in my load order.

Don't mean to undermine this mod, but for those of you who are looking for an in-game alternative that isn't power armor, there are some Combat Armor leg pieces in the Mass Fusion building. They are in a safe, and they give complete resistance to fall damage when both legs are worn. If you haven't been there yet, you will as part of the main story (that is all I will say). Good mod though, some people really hate having their verticality limited in a game.

I went there a couple of days ago just because I found it, but I didn't find anything like that. I guess I just have to have a harder look, no?

I know I m a bit late but if this may help someone (like me) who ends there searching for answers:

The "free fall" legging are an unique piece of legendary equipement but, like all other uniques in the game, they have a more common legendary prefix counterpart with the exact same effect.
The name of this effect is "acrobat", it gives 50% reduction in falling damage and can be found on leggings only I believe. Same as the "free fall" legging, you need to equip both legs with the effect for it to make you immune to fall damage completely (50%+50%=100%).
Pros are you can find this prefix earlier eventually and it can appear on different type of legging better suiting your favorite gear. Cons is how the legendary spawn work, it might be long/hard/annoying to get a pair, not to mention a matching one (that' s the main purpose of uniques in that game in my opinion, finding specific legendary items without the hassle of the randomness)... that's were legendary modification kicks in (search for it on nexus).

Brackholn, tontonzanmi? not too late at all for me! Fallout 4 keeps disabling my No Fall damage mod, here.
I'm new to Fallout 4 because I was waiting for the Vulpine race mod to complete before buying the game, and This free fall mod stopped working mostly for me; even with this mod enabled I'm taking chunks of fall damage, and the idea of finding those two free-fall leggings at the Mass Fusion building is really cool. Going there now!

If that doesn't work I'll go look for that legendary modification mod you mentioned.
      Thanks again.

After having thoroughly tested this mod with a jet pack in both combat armor and power armor I have to call this mod a home run! Tested with falls up to 10 floors (100 ft) above street level with zero damage to the player character.

5 smiley seal of 100% approval!!!!! I endorse and highly recommend this mod!!!

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!
