I cannot recommend this quest. Above all, two things I disliked. - I'm insta-killed by +15 pirates when I cross a trapdoor?! Even if I was on easy mode and +100 lvl this would still be stupid. - If you try to make me walk on top of some planks that are glued on air, then I will simply tcl. If there is little effort on making a realistic environment, I will not make the effort to play the quest. I almost completed the quest, but before I could return to the Commonwealth the game CTD. There was no loot worth for me, so I just loaded a save before the start, and will ignore the quest in my list.
If any creator reads this, hard can be fun but hard does not equal fun. Also, be more descriptive. Hard to kill enemies? Is heavy on story? Do I have to solve puzzles? Jump through obstacle course? For the author, thank you for the effort.
As someone else mentioned, tons of opportunities for side-quests ~ as soon as you dropped the default creature on the island that just opens up a whole series of side-quests. Love the various references.
Unfortunately, I'm level 160, but even in my OP state, I took damage from the various battles! Even damaged my armor! Pretty impressive! Lower level characters, be prepared to duck and weave! and bring grenades! Maybe a mini-nuke or five.
Nice work on the transition zones as well, some of them caught me off guard, but once I got used to the feel it really expanded the scenes!
i went in on survival mode level 30 with overhauls to make it tougher and get wiped out before i even load into the ship deck - impossible to complete...
this mod has made me a bit angry... Im playing a survival mode game with extra overhaul mods that make it tougher. Im level 30.i went to the nahant area and found a new warehouse. Now, on this game playthru im doing even mirelurk hunters one hit kill me.Firstly... I went near the warehouse from the sea and immediately CTD'd.Secondly... there are tons of badly placed decals like a weird piece of railway underwater and inside under water floating decals inweird positions and at least one bit of dirt decal floating mid air... Thirdly the warehouse seems to have been taken from Irish Pride Industries Shipyard with very few changes...The ship I guess is the USS constitution?What annoyed me firstly is: I got sucked into the ship without clicking a door to get in... then I can't leave.. no door to leaveI'm on survival mode and basically lost hours of playing after also saving in the bed inside the ship and then realising its impossible to winwith no way to leave. Thanks mate! This mod seems to have no description or warning on it about things like this. I killed the fewpirates on the ship fine.. then I leave the ship out into some bland sea world with one ship and nothing else... no sea decorationscompletely flat boring floor, nothing in the water.. just the ship... and i start completely surrounded by like 20 pirates? They all instantly one hit kill me... I'm dead before I even load into the area... Thanks mate.. don't give people a bit of time or a chanceto sneak.. or use their weapons at all? So... I try again using a stealth boy and manage to jump into the water... but there is seeminglyno way back into the ship... well done. Thanks again. And I can't fire my weapon from the water... there's no other place on the map forme to land so I can't snipe. I have to just fight a bunch of guys with cannonballs all directed towards me the moment I get to the deck.I swim around the ship looking for any place i can at least stand to be able to use my gun and maybe take pot shots at glimpses of headsand such but no chance.. you made then so they can magically shoot thru the ship.. they can just kill you and see you when you'rebehind the ship and out of view.. realistic much? They gonna blow up their own ship to get one guy? So its impossible and I lost hoursof gamplay having to reload a previous save. Maybe put a warning on your mod and a way out so we can get out at any point.. maybea way to get back into the ship? and a way we can still shoot them and hide somewhere? maybe its for super high levels? maybetell people... or am i blind? could be... but it made me angry and this is the first time a mod has made me angry enough to complain. does the new pipboy map work in the dlc's? also maby have the pipboy map as an optinal download as some ppl dont like the change specialy when they are not warned about it personaly i like it tho
Okay my take on this! Too short, Too many of one thing on the Island and no I am not saying what it is so no spoilers. When you do find the treasure or what is believed to be treasure it s nothing but like three items and probably not worth the adventure in most cases. I would have put in some gold bars and a lot of caps at least 500 or more.
I would have put a little more loot in the " H.....E " I know it was a mini quest but even a mini quest could have been a little longer. I still will endorse it because the second map was a interesting challenge and being I did it at night was even crazier! Lool.
Good work for a very mini mini quest. I will suggest getting modern firearms and some form of sniper for the massive amount of that one enemy on the Island as it makes it easier to pluck them off one by one. I am level 85 so it was no issues for me.
