Two ways to relive a bygone age, play this game with mods like this or visit small town USA where perhaps they might have everything that old world had. Either way, cool mod for the sake of nostalgia :) brings back memories.

Brings a big ol' smile to my Amiga-loving face that there are still people using/commenting on my random-ass mod from 18 years ago. It's two tiers of nostalgia at this point: Nostalgia over the Amiga, and nostalgia over putting this together <3

I love using floppy disks. It's a shame they're not used as much anymore.

I can also recall the usage of tape players both for movies and music. When games were largely console and when Xanga was the go to website for blogging as well as when TGIF (Thank God It's Friday teen shows) was a big deal when we became teens. Another is recalling the first Star Gate and then the series that followed (btw the original Daniel Jackson was the best) SG-1 with Christopher Judge as Tealk (sorry I can't recall the names of the others).

And chance you could make the game tapes with this texture too?

    Looks amazing by the way.

Cool idea, but just curious why you specify Amiga.. 3.5" floppy disks were for all computers at the time

The blue floppy was always the graphic you saw when you booted up, as well as nearly every release for the system was on a blue 3.5. That and the disks were always double sided or double density like the image shows, 880kb vs. the 1.44MB HD High Density disks (standard black with white HD logo) most other systems used.

...or nostalgia mixed with brand loyalty. I probably wouldn't even have looked at the mod if it said Apple II since I never had one.

If these tapes cause a Guru Meditation on the Pip-Boy, you'll be hearing from my Vault Dweller.

Let me bust out my kickstart to load into the workbench and see what's on this holotape.

    Thanks for this.
