One of the first things I always do is build myself a sleeping bag, from the camping mod. I use if often, like MacCready I don't like wondering after dark.
If this was where the armor was it would have been perfect, but it is a great idea and in my head, it's nice that they have a sleeping bag to take turns in along with the couch as they keep watch.
