Is there any reason why you didn't extend this to the water? I've been looking for a good settlement mod for this spot and nearly all of them keep it very small, and don't extend to the water, which is what I am looking for. I did find one that was much bigger, but it included a bunch of other settlements I don't want, except that makes me think there was no real reason NOT to extend it to the water.
It was mostly because of the way I have to place borders- none of them really fit right for the water to work out well. I also initially believed that the water under the garage was usable when I built the mod, so never felt the need for it
Thank you for your reply - I just now came back to this mod, looking for new settlements for another play-through, and had completely forgotten about my question. Much appreciated.
Love the creative placement of a new settlement. Most new settlements are in boring places in my opinion. This was thinking creatively, and I like it. Downloading now!!!
Update: Cannot get it to work at all. Will not show up as a settlement for me to send a supply caravan to, and will not attract settlers once the radio beacon is up and running either. I did a complete playthrough of the game and it never functioned. My great build sat there empty the whole time.
I honestly don't know what to tell you, I'd need more info (which I'd normally say post to the bugs section). I've run this vanilla and with countless other mods, haven't had any problems myself, the best I can say would be to change where it is in your load order, try with no mods, etc.
Would you consider doing a version with ONLY the parkinglot. I hate it when my settlers are roaming randomly - I play survival with hoards of up to 70+ Headshot only kill zombies strolling around... perma-death and res on all npcs... so you can see my issue XD
By only I mean marked the footprint of the building onlyso you can stick 'doors' on the front and back and then simply thats it everything within/roof is usable. makeshift fortress if you will.
I can look into it, the problem being that when I adjust the border it adjusts on all angles as it's an actual object with a mesh, so the build zone wouldn't be close to accurate
hum I see, the issue I have with this is every now and then someone spawns outside and gets totally wrecked lolif it was hugging the wall super close... lol well yeah, anyway thanks for looking into it
I just got there last night built a nice sized home for my character in the middle of it. While building I got the errie sense. I was going to be ambushed by ghouls as usually those hoodlums like hanging out in a parking garage. I will upload screenshots when I fix it up.
A side issue tho some reason it kept saying I was at my build limit and it kept reseting. Like it was kicking me out of build mode then going back into build mode. Has anyone else come across this issue?
I was putting concrete flooring in the middle of the structure. Now for some reason I left the area to help a caravan with the gunners. I came back and it's like I didn't remove anything from the parking garage. Only mod I use that could possibly effect it is one that increases the settlement budget when I get close to full. But this is the first time I ever encountered that happening.
Also after the area reset with broken down vehicles and trash it wouldn't let me scrap anything anylonger.
The cell is inherently set to never reset, so it would have to be a conflict with an outside mod. I can only recommend trying to move it in your load order, or test without that other mod. PM me if you'd like, so I can reply faster
I just built them for the screenshots, I specified in the image titles but I realize you don't get to see that if you don't specifically go to the image page
I like the idea of this since I have a Reeb Marina settlement mod as well. Having two settlements that close together could be a good thing. I'm going to give this a try. I use increased spawns so that Hub City has around 30-40 Gunners roaming it. Should make a good challenge to build a small but strong settlement here.
The initial reason I made this was because a parking Garage seemed like the perfect fortress, considering the frame and all that. If you'd want to send some screenshots of your settlement defending itself, I'd be glad to post them!
Just finished building the settlement. Set it for up to 15 settlers. Combination of turrets and Robot Home Defense assets (4 high end Sentry Bots and 2 Stealth Assaultrons) no settlers yet but a caravan was attacked on the road by the Gunners. All 4 Sentry Bots responded and wiped those Gunners off the map. I would consider the area fairly locked down for now. I'm not good at screen shots but I will try to get some if you are interested.

Any answer would be appreciated - Thanks

Yeah, I just looked at them from the preview. I should have thought that through...
Downloading now.
Specially on areas which other modders didn't do..
Thanks for this location, keep them coming!
Cheers!
