Check out the official documentation and guides here on the Wiki.
Check out my Discord server for BodySlide, Outfit Studio, CBBE stuff and more!

    On the next-gen update:
I uploaded a hotfix for 5.6.3 that fixes the program not being able to load textures from the game's new BA2 archives.

    Version 5.6.3 is up!
    New:
    - OS: Added way to add multiple custom bones in a parent chain at once.
    - OS: Added "Double Sided" checkbox to shape properties.
    - OS: Include loaded loose file name in window title.

    Fixes:
    - BodySlide: Fixed toggles for zaps that are zapped by default.
    - OS: Fixed OBJ and FBX import preview not rendering (issue with UI framework).
    - OS: Fixed stuttering in UV editor and import previews.

    BodySlide Walkthrough:
    Spoiler:
    Show

For CBBE. Can be used for other body mods. Just use common sense to figure it out.

    1. Install BodySlide, and CBBE from the CBBE mod page. If you wish to use the in-game sliders, you will also need LooksMenu installed and the relevant files from the CBBE archive - these should be an option in the installer. If installing manually, then you need the contents of the BodySlide folders and relevant 'TRI/F4EE' folders installed.
    2. Go to Fallout 4/Data/Tools/BodySlide. Doubleclick on BodySlide.exe/BodySlide x64.exe to open the utility. Vortex users have your own way of opening BodySlide (see: Mod description, but the path is still the same).
    3. At the top, in 'Outfit/Body' select CBBE Body, CBBE Body Physics or CBBE NeverNude. These are the bodies. Everything else is an outfit.
    4. In 'Preset', select a preset, or leave it as it is and simply start moving the sliders around. You can type numbers into the boxes if you want to use negatives (put in a - before the number) or go over 100%. If you only wish to use the in-game sliders, you can skip to Step 10.
    a. (Optional) If you have a lot of outfit mods installed, and/or only want to see/build meshes for certain ones, you can use the GroupFilter and OutfitFilter options at the top to narrow down the selection. Just click on the magnifying glass, 'Choose Groups', and select what you want. Again, only what is selected will have the option to build meshes for them. Leaving these Filters alone will mean you have the option to build everything.
    5. Click on 'Preview' at the bottom to open the preview window. The mesh shape will change as you move/edit sliders. The mesh shown is what you get when the character's weight is set to the centre of the weight triangle. You can right-click-and-drag the model to rotate it, and left-click-and-drag to move it around the window without rotating. Scroll-wheel to zoom also works.
    6. Once you're happy, click on 'Save As'. 'Save' will overwrite the current preset selected.
    7. Type in a name for your preset, and check the boxes for what 'groups' you want your preset to appear in.
    8. Click Save. BodySlide will open a window to the BodySlide/SliderPresets directory. Click Save again. You preset will now appear in the 'Preset' drop-down menu.
    9. (Optional) If your aim is realism, make a second preset just for outfits/NeverNude, removing any gravity from your 'nude' preset, and applying cleavage/pushup etc. You can look at the 'Slim (Outfit)' and 'Curvy (Outfit)' for ideas to make it look realistic for both small and large breast sizes, respectively.
    10. With CBBE Body, CBBE Body Physics or CBBE NeverNude and your preset selected, click on Build. This will automatically install the body meshes. If you intend on using the in-game sliders, ensure you check the 'Build Morphs' checkbox before completing this or any following steps.
    11. With your (outfit) preset selected, click on BatchBuild. Uncheck anything you don't want built (e.g. if you did step 10 above, you don't want/need CBBE Body/CBBE NeverNude/CBBE Body Physics selected). You can right-click the box and select/de-select everything to help with this.
    12. Click Build. BodySlide will automatically install the outfit meshes into the correct directories.
Now the outfits will be the shape of your preset, and will morph according to the in-game weight/body morph triangle. If applicable, then you will also be able to use the in-game morphs.

I have a question not related to the update.

(personally will not be updating fallout 4 until the modding community does what it does best and figures out how to fix what ever Bethesda broke with the update.)

I'm clearly using the previous version of outfit studio and was wandering if there was a solution for the error that happens when in outfit studio selection "conform selction" crashes the program saying unable to save base nif?

If you upload a new file, please, please increment the version number. If I install your new file, I'll have two v5.6.3 installations, and Vortex will be unable to tell me which is which.

Yes, the update changes the version number used by the BA2 archives. I already fixed it, we'll see when I get around to uploading a new version.

Does this mean that each mod using "old format" BA2 files needs to be updated for textures to be recognized by the game new version ?

      @Gurdun:
No. The old archives work in the update.

      I just uploaded a hotfix.

After the latest update, my character's skin is white, like a mannequin; the only part of the body with skin texture is the head, but arms, legs, and torso are white. What could be the issue?

Either you haven't installed a compatible body mod, or you haven't followed the installation instructions correctly. These are the only reasons.

does this mod apply only to your character or does it also make ALL female npcs with the same body that you create??

It works with any meshes made compatible with it. If you're talking about body mods, then they work for all adult male and/or female characters.

Ok so I followed all the instructions and none of Vtaws wardrobes change. They change the body but pretty well themselves and then causes clipping if certain articles of clothing are put on. I used 3 pieces from wardrobe 8 and without the combat boots on the whole outfit clips really bad. Slap the combat boots on and not a clip to be seen. I'm just getting frustrated beyond belief to the point I'm about to delete it all.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm tearing my hair out trying to change the clipping from most of his clothes.

I went and did a double check step by step and make sure the game data path in Bodyslide settings is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\". For some reason mine wasn't. Everything is all good now for the most part. The one thing I'm having issues with now is any of the boots in any of the VTAW wardrobes change the body back to CBBE. I currently am trying to figure out why batch building doesn't affect the boots. I have no issues with the clothing anymore.

Hello, I'm from Brazil and I don't speak English very well so I'm using the translator, I'm having a problem and I don't know how to solve it, I installed BodySlide following all the steps correctly, but I can't find the Fallout 4 meshes, the The application points to the game data folder correctly but the meshes that BodySlide shows in the Outfit/Body field are Skyrim meshes and I don't have Skyrim installed on my PC, can anyone help me solve this problem?

If you have installed BodySlide correctly, as you said, then...did you install the wrong version of CBBE somehow? Assuming you are using that, anyway. BodySlide doesn't come with any bodies or outfits. You have to download them separately.
If you did install the SE version of CBBE, uninstall it, and install the FO4 version of CBBE (or other BodySlide-compatible FO4 body mod of your choice).
