I wish you a Rockin Good time in the afterlife, Mr. Douglas Craig Bennett.
Thanks to anyone who had a part in his life and work for great songs, performances, and fun videos. They remind of funny and zany Brit music vids / comedy TV shows.
This may sound stupid but is he set to protected as i wanna assign him to guard, its a shame you cant tell a settler to stay in power armor afaik, i think a nice set of T60 has his name on it :P lol
Good lord, this is fantastic. I am absolutely going to use this. Thanks for doing it!
I wonder which cigars he would prefer? There are the Sanfrancisco Sunlight's that Kellog likes, the regular "cigar" with the blue band, and also "stogies" with two yellow bands on them. It would really be best to get cigars of some sort in his mouth, as well as some fine single malt in his inventory.
I would die if he manages to record a full suite of companion dialogue for this.
Hi "Kodiak412"( 21 kudos, 1481 posts ) You gave great examples of random dialogue at time of approach and during dialogue. I'd tweak the second with : "I work for my Wife, Kids, and I, to eat.. it's as simple as that my friend"
Hey anybody... Take the time to watch/listen to some of Oxhorn's wondrous YouTube's ( go back a while too ) & come back here and leave a message with as many dialogue examples as you can imagine. Quote direct from the Oxman's mouth, or marvelously mixquoted to better fit the Fallout 4 world.
Also, to : "htom sirveaux" ( 19 kudos, 712 posts ) Who said : "is he a tier 4 t-shirt merchant?"
Here-Here... tier 4 t-shirts ( and suspenders, comfortable collared shirts, and bowler/derby hat vendor ) it is !I would make those items static fixed to his booth, with a nice wrinkled dark blue velvety drop cloth behind him.
This would be my foray into the Creation Kit to inject Oxhorn's mirthy mug and dapper duds into a L4 Merchant's files. Might even give a go at improving on Oxhorn's attempt at his own likeness. He himself stated "I've been told I make awful looking characters, & I somewhat agree" ; or something to that effect.
Oxhorn is just *too* terrific & an utterly enjoyable master story teller & informative gaming fellow to not wanna pour his e-spirit in a genie scotch bottle n' have him chattin-it-up n' hawking his wares in a favorite Settlement.
Eh Oxhorn.. If you had a choice of where you would be a merchant, where would the top two-three settlements be, including modded ones, and why ?
Hold-it-a-Holly-Jolly-Sec ! : *Ox*horn... He's gotta have the option to be a roaming merchant who sells from a custom Ox called "Blue-Belle" (for example). Later, when someone can manage it, when you appoach him, he can come down a ladder from his fancy, shmancy cart, with a fresh-lit cigar.
I'll let Oxhorn come up with his own words to use in the dialogue. I'm on the fence with making him a T4 merchant, I'd like to keep him as a well rounded character rather than sticking him best as a merchant.
Agreed.. Standard Settler is one thing.. Making a mod where you choose from the handfull of L4 NPC's original files for the mod to back-up. Then the mod dupes those files. It then injects some of "Oxhorn's digital-DNA". All sounds like a bit much, you're right ( But not for modders like CK-Conjurer Supreme Elianora ). Tuff also, prob more-so, the roaming merchant idea. It just lends itself oh so well to the option to read / listen to a random ( or linked to player progression ) story from the premier "Bard of Bethesda's Great Lands 'O F-&-SF Games". ( just in case.. Lands Of Fantasy & Science Fiction )
So many top mods for varying reasons...
Yet, this'll be the first time I vote a mod for top pick of the week in part as a personal Kudo to a YouTube producer. Might be the first time I ever clicked the Vote button.
I would love it, if you could persuade the estwhile Mr Oxhorn to contribute his mash-ups of his "neighbourhood friendly Oxhorn" line which he did across about 20 of his videos. Then, any time you interacted with the Oxhorn NPC, you were greeted with a random version of that welcome.
I would love him as a companion. I used to play through these games without following lore... I think he might make a great follower that makes offhand reminders about situations.

I'd love an authentic oxhorn death sound.
That would be very satisfying!

I always find it funny seeing real people modded into the game but I wasn't expecting Oxhorn

Well it's a slow process but perhaps companion Oxhorn will be done before the year is out.
Totally agree, he should be a tier 4 clothing merchant. Then the marquee image for the mod should read "Oxhorns T-Shirt Shop".
