When ever the Ripper is on the loading screen, i always notice a bug with the vanilia blade where on the right side of the weapon is a cylinder bug with the top of its texture missing. always irks me. Hope to god this mod is the fix i need
Thanks. You have no idea how much the toothless chain was annoying me. You wouldn't be able to cut anything with it other than rip some paper perhaps. Now i can use this weapon
I like the decal and now it looks more lethal. I wish this tool had an upgrade that made it look more like an 18" chainsaw blade at least in length and also remove the front half of the chain guard. It would give you similar reach of a sword and it would allow ripping on both the forward and return stroke and give additional bleed damage when blocking.
I love your texture work. I'm learning PBR myself and I have a couple of questions:
Which program do you use? Do you bake entirely new normals? If so, how do you do it from the low poly meshes? Do you generate ambient occlusion maps? If so, how do you do it from the low poly meshes? (I use Xnormal, they're passable, but not great) Do you have any other tips for PBR when it comes to the FO4 shaders or for when you're stuck using low poly meshes?
Physics Based Rendering. It's a fancy phrase for painting on the model itself in materials (texture sets) instead of in photoshop with a 2d canvas or something.
