made some alterations to the bat file: You no longer have to have the bat file in the fallout directory. (But it is still recommended.)
T.O.P folder should be on the same hard drive as your fallout install directory (this helps prevent issues some people were noticing) i would add a line to move the needed files in the bat, but this would only take up more space than needed.
AND you now have to drag a folder "enter a location" of where you want the backups to be saved (or where you have saved them previously for restoring) The last thing was a request which i should have foreseen and added from the begging. this allows you to back up your ba2.s to any hard disk you want with enough space.
Ownership of folders has been added. permissions of folders has been updated. (change from giving every one permission, to only local users. "safer")
this should now really be the final version as i can see no other requests in the comments that i can add to a basic bat file.
i will be back again intermittently to see if any one else notices any issues or has a feature request...
This bat file can be used for any texture project that needs you to repack textures in to ba2 files. but please be aware the textures you want to use have to be in a folder..
As an example. you would have : c:\ultra textures\textures\ This would work fine and when the bat asks for the T.O.P folder you would drag over the folder named "ultra textures" but C:\textures is not correct. the textures folder HAS to be in a folder for the bat file to function.. Additionally c:\ultra textures\use these\textures Will not work either as there are to many folders..
And finally The folder containing the "textures" folder MUST be on the same hard disk as your fallout 4 game for xcopy to function properly.. (if your game is on c:\ then the folder containing the textures folder must also be on c:\)
You cannot use powershell to run this so enable CMD.. You should have already read the description page, if not there is a small section at the very top that you should read.
bro i fried my brain for like 4 hours straight trying to install TOP then quit when i realised i wasnt even half way done and now i found this thanks man
So this seemed to work fine but it didn't detect any of the dlc textures for some reason. Said something like "files not found". And should the date modified collumn on the affected files remain unchanged?
