I'm also having the problem, but it doesn't appear to be a problem with the Mosin itself. I tried to modify the rifle with the patch disabled and was able to add a bayonet to it. With the patch enabled, I simply CTD. The patch, for me at least, seems to be the problem. Simply put... rifle good, patch bad.
Little more than a year later the CTD issues are still here. I've looked at it in Fo4Edit, it seems there's some kind of conflict but I can't make any sense of it. There was a discussion on Reddit about it too. Hoped this would've been fixed.
Damn, I was hoping someone would make this and just make it the same caliber as the AK(Handmade Rifle) so I didn't need an extra mod :[. Good job none the less, .308 was a strange choice.
Yep I go to use the workbench, the menu comes up for about 3 seconds and then CTD, every time. Just when I go to use the workbench though, everything runs fine up until that point.
TBH it might not even be your mods fault, I made a bug report on the mosin page so we'll see how that goes, maybe you could try and work with the author to resolve the issue faster?
When I get back from university tonight I'll see if it's a bug that exists without my ammo patch, it could be the Mosin weapon itself. My patch changes nothing but the ammo list so I don't know where this crash could be coming from. I'll experiment with it tonight.

Btw, it still says when you download the file(new one) that you need "New Calibers" mod and doesn't show that you need Nuka-World DLC!
Do you just mean the requirements popping up on Nexus or actual in-game required files?
Do you mean you're getting a crash when you put the weapon in a workbench to modify it? I haven't seen that happen yet.
Thanks for the heads up.
I just went to a workbench and modified the rifle with my patch installed. Problem seems to be on your end, can't tell you what the issue might be.
Make sure you have the latest version of the Mosin mod, it just got a new version so maybe that's an unrelated bug that got fixed?
