    I don't often find myself endorsing mods, but this one absolutely saved my build idea!
    I can confirm it works on a down patched version of the next gen update. Worked out of the box, i did not have to mess with precombines.

    Could we get a build able version? I would like to build this tower in my own settlement

    Doesn't work, even after editing my Fallout4Custom.ini and installing manually and via NMM.

      I fixed it!!!

      I disabled Spring Cleaning and Place Everywhere, and added:

      [General]
      bUseCombinedObjects=0

      into Fallout4.ini and Fallout4Custom.ini

      Nice to hear you solved it! Perhaps this may also be the reason why it won't work at all for some people, well done!

      Do know that disabling precombined objects is detrimental to performance in many ways. By the sounds of it, precombines would have to be regenerated in the Abernathy Farm area with this new mesh included to see it take effect without having to disable precombines.

    love this mod as i love the concept of building onto electrical towers and i still cant thank you enough for taking my request and making it a reality.

    but i am currently having trouble getting it to work on my new game, had no problems in the past but this time it seems the old collision mesh persists, ive insured that the mesh .nif is present in my files.

      Sorry to hear it doesn't work, I find it quite perplexing it won't work for some people... Do other mods that also add loose files work for you? Any chance your ini-files might have changed in the meantime since you last played? Go to "Documents\MyGames\Fallout4", open Fallout4Custom.ini and make sure you have:

      [Archive]
      bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
      sResourceDataDirsFinal=

      as far as i can tell all other loose file mods work, i have checked and re checked the .ini, i too find it perplexing

      thankyou for your quick response.

      Indeed, why only now?!

      I'm so going to install this and fix everything I couldn't do with my concrete skyscraper that I built in Abernathy. The hair-pulling I had to endure was as gigantic as the building itself :D

    I installed the detailed version with NMM and I still can't build up inside the tower. The invisible "roof" is still present.

    ElectricalTower01.nif is in Data\meshes\SetDressing\ElectricalTower and I have
    [Archive]
    bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
    sResourceDataDirsFinal=
    in my Fallout4Custom.ini

    Any help?

      This seems strange, sounds like it should work. The only thing I can think of is make sure this mod is at the bottom of your load order just in case you have some other mod that changes the same file, like some of the huge itempacks. Just to make sure, the filesize for the detailed version should be 346 kB, the one with removed collision 280 kB, while the original file is 293 kB.

      Wait, is the mod supposed to install an .esp? The only file that's in the download is the ElectricalTower01.nif. Otherwise I don't know what you mean by load order.

      Gha sorry I'm having a senile moment, you're right there is no esp.

      Perhaps a longshot, but any chance you're using an operating system that isn't windows? I'm just thinking that some operating systems may be picky about case-sensitivity in the folder names (and I'm not 100% certain mine is identical to Bethesdas).

      Or... you could just say f*#@ it and go and try this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24338/? as far as I can tell it should be pretty much identical to mine.

      I'm using Windows 10 and my 43 installed mods work just fine. I tried the mod you suggested but it didn't work either... Really pulling my hair out with this one. Thanks anyways.

      you might need an esp as a placeholder for game to look for nif.

    Any chance you could do the smaller power towers?

      If you mean a fully detailed collision then I'm afraid the answer is no as I only did my modding during the trial period of 3ds Max. But if you just want the collision gone completely then that is easy to do. What other smaller towers do you mean though?

    I understand the need for games to have low-poly collision meshes to reduce work-load while computing physics however, Abernathy farm had such a terribly low-poly mesh I'm glad someone fixed this.

    Good job fixing a "bug" which you are guaranteed to encounter if you try to build up in the electrical tower past the first cross-members above the existing shack roof.

      yep, nice work
      i have 3 upper levels at abernathy farm and i planning for another 2 *g*. i have put a bar in the middle of the tower and with some furniture you can work around the spots where settlers hang sometimes. it works good

      on the beginning it looked ´unbelievable´ and strange because of non existent support woods. without them it looked that it will fall apart shortly if you turn the music volume up in abernathys bar

      maybe i post some screenies (only if it looks good :p)
