Good, show. Now all I'm waiting for is the BC7-compressed, optimized 8-bit version - and an FPS-fix patch...

Perfect model, however the collision when the cap is upside down is wrong so it clips through whatever surface it's sitting on. I'm gonna follow until this maybe gets fixed.

it is really marvelous texture and model here. only downside is that almost all caps kinda fuse with the furniture they're on. not by much, a few pixel on the Y axis, but they disappear nonetheless.

A quick question since i love the realism of the caps here, the caps also replace the ones in the bottles themselves, and if so they are compatible with the classic nuka cola bottles mod?

That all depends if the author of that mod edited the bottle or just did a re-texture. I think the cap on the bottles are all the same model though.

After testing didn't work (uncompressed the ba2 files and the cap files have a different name and it's one file compared to your cap which has multiple) still love to use your mod for the regular caps, trully a lot of hard work and your mod is one i could never left out in any playtrough.

These are beautiful but 2k is a lil bit much. Can you possibly downscale them?
Also there is one problem. When you use a bottlecap mine or whenever a bottlecap explosion occurs, the piles of bottlecap that you loot right after don't use the new meshes, they use the old ones and have messed up textures.

They look amazing, but I'd like a lower res version too.

I left them in 2K because they came in 2K but I can understand that. I'll try and do that tomorrow, it's late over here.

Looking at the explosion effect, all those meshes may need to be replaced by hand

Tracking for a smaller texture size too. Gorgeous work!

I took a look at that, and holy jesus. How do you even import a .nif into a .nif to be able to replace each individual bottlecap? There's like 400 in the explosion effect.

Ehh, no problem, the explosion damages them and makes them look vanilla. That's the ticket.

@DeathWrench Exactly. The only way would be to import the vanilla explosion nif, then import this new model, and then duplicate it and place copies in all the same spots as the vanilla one. Then export as nif and tediously replace each vanilla trishape with the new ones in nifskope. So a gigantic hell no pretty much, sorry guys, I just don't have the time.

lol It's fine, it's not a huge deal anyways, they're so tiny you might as well not even notice them. I didn't think it would be so time consuming to fix that tbh

Neat! Can you make a version with a distorted or stretched area of the bottle cap mesh to make it look like the caps were removed with a bottle opener?

That sounds like a really cool idea! Unfortunately, it might be a little too much work for such a small object and Shiny mentioned that he didn't make the mesh nor the textures. Still, that idea does tickle my immersion nerve.

not gonna lie, the first thing i thought when looking at this was how liberating twist-caps are on beer bottles. Knowing a multitude of ways to open a damn bottle must be a point of pride in the Wasteland.

Best looking caps texture&mesh I've seen here on nexus. Only wish it had lower resolution, there's a chance that my PC might explode when there's a cap's explosion. Might I request a 1k/512 version?
