This is a great mod, but the DPS is to low for a more powerful caliber. If the base the base damage of 38. would be 3 points higher it would really make a difference.

I mean... the 5mm IS more powerful (even bigger than the 5.56 in-game) and is easy to find...

The only way to find 5mm in fallout 4 is via ammo crates, or enemies wielding the minigun, minigun enemies are usually named/unique bosses and pretty rare, and will net you 500 rounds, which is 1 reload worth of ammunition, you can burn through that pretty quickly. Ammo crates will also give roughly 500 rounds (without scrounging perks) which in my experience, finding ammo boxes containing the ammunition, is very rare, its pretty much pure RNG and Fallout 4 has a lot of ammo types that can spawn in these containers

Random finds of 5mm in containers like file cabinets and desks is usually around 20 rounds, which is barely enough to fire for a second. The best way to find ammo in Fallout 4 is enemy drops, as its reliable and constant. Making .38, .45, 10mm, and later in the game, 5.56 incredibly common, compared to 5mm. The larger finds of 5mm only serve to make up for it in a very minor way, due to the much more extreme rate of fire, and much lower damage of the minigun.

2000 5.56 will last you a few hours of gameplay with a assault rifle
2000 5mm will last you about 30 minutes of gameplay.
2000 .38 will last you the entire game, because only a masochist would use a .38 weapon late-game.

Just found this, really great for resolving the issue of .38 ammo being useless!

Very cool! If you want it to have the .38 automatic rifle sound effect, add the following keywords to the OMOD:

    s_30_Auto [KYWD:000A191C]
    s_35_GripPistol [KYWD:00085309]
    s_40_HandmadePipeA [KYWD:0001DC63]

    Hope this helps!

I see, Ill give it a shot at some point and maybe make another alternate version.

Edit: Worked perfectly, also discovered another bug while testing it and fixed that too.
