I have noticed a few missing items (Foundations, beds etc) when creating settlements from my blueprints.
I assumed it was because I have been overwriting the same blueprint files since early 2017. So I deleted all my files and went back and created the blueprints from the beginning with Transfer Settlements 1.48... this took a fair bit of time for 33 blueprints...

After I was done the file sizes were slightly smaller than my latest updates so the theory seems to valid.
I have also done a few cosmetic changes to brighten the settlements up a bit. I was originally only going to update my blueprint pack but I hated the idea of my work seeming incomplete... my OCD gene I guess...

Absolutely the best settlement mods out of the entire bunch.   Neat, Clean, Uncluttered and Functional.  Using the settlement to also be the perimeter is a great idea.  This endorsement is for all this creators settlement mods.

I have used a bunch of different settlement builds and most are so extremely complicated and have so many EXTRA REQUIRED MODS it takes two hours  to download them all and in the mix many conflicts arise and a great many problems arise.  Others are so cluttered and use so much of the build area there is not even room to turn around.

So a big thumbs up , here in 2022 as I once again pull this old game out and play it once again.
    Cheers

You may want to try what Onyx Nightshade did and just post a save file with all the settlements. I found it easier to just load up a save that would let me travel to all the settlements and walk around them and then export from the save the ones I want to use. There is the added benefit that you only have to manage one save file. In any event thanks for sharing your blueprints.

      Your welcome...
I can see the reason in your idea, but it sounds like making folks do most of the work.
Besides... I have these saved anyway for my own use, so they are already stored regardless.

    Hi,

I often had the problem that some parts of my settlement doesn't feel "real" or realistic especially when I follow the suggested 90° build lines . I got some inspirations from this guy on a youtube channel who had a good feeling for "what makes a settlement convincing"

      Thanks for the link.

But my entire reasoning for doing these blueprints, and starting a completely new game, was I saw that the majority of Settlements Blueprints have an insane amount of mods and/or DLC required. All of my blueprints actually require zero mods apart from Transfer Settlements and still remain inside the game budget, if you are willing to add a few more water pumps, wiring and generators.

Although I fail to understand the cruel limitations that Bethesda put in place. I have used a 50KVA generator that was smaller than the large ones in game and have extension cables in my house longer than the wiring allowed in the normal game. For that matter, they have fusion cars but diesel generators??? I know the fusion generators in these cars still work. I have lost count of the times I have died in game when one of them blew up beside me...

I also never understood why if you were actually going to build something you would build some of the items in game. There must be a lot of carpenters that cringe looking at the wall and roof designs on offer.

      Hi

To build settlements without all the mods... hard thing, but a good idea :-) It will help people who don't want to start from the scratch and add a lot of new mods to their game.

I use a lot of mods and changed things that doesn't seem logical to me or that appears like stupid limitations (low power output of generators... I tripled the output and triple the length of the power lines to) and tried to create my settlements without those diesel generators and without fusion (for environmental reasons ;-) Windmills all over the place...

My Fallout is so over-modded (250) that there are often strange behaviours in the game and I spend a lot of time to investigate the source of the problem. A good solution would be a fresh installation but I will wait for my second play through before I do this. So much work ;-)

There are a lot logical weaknesses in this game... with a few basic resources I can build gun turrets as good as brand new from the conveyor belt but my walls look like I am not able to hold a hammer right around... but to be true I like the squatter look of buildings more than the clean and perfect look. It would be nice if the settlers would upgrade there houses with better materials... the sim settlers project looks really very promising.

I know what you mean by 'Strange behaviors'...

Previous to this playthrough I was using a 'Rebuilt Settlements' mod that fixed up many of the settlement houses in the Commonwealth. But then I suddenly could not go near Greentech genetics or Monsignor Plaza in later stages of the game without crashing, not even in a Vertibird.

I have cut way back on my mods recently and certainly none that affect the landscape or building items. The game engine does not seem to like us messing with the environment. So... now I am storing all my settlements, because after over 1000 hours of game time in Fallout 4 I really don't think I can improve on my vanilla builds after building on the same locations 20-30 times... and I am really tired of lining up that first foundation JUST right...

While I was playing I was wandering around the commonwealth and tried to make every quest and had nearly 80% of all the the settlements build up several times (with every new good mod I had to come back and improve it a little bit, sure more than 500 hours). But without the DLCs
I used the Subway Runner mod and I realised that this mod stop the respawn of every enemy entirely. The vanilla respawn was a sometimes annoying but nearly completely empty commonwealth was too boring. I am not sure but it also messed up a little my save game.
Now I begin the institute quests and (finally) rescue Shawn (after a year in game time, what a father I am ;-) but since I realised that there is no timer to begin the quest I loose a bit of interest in this part of the story - in the first Fallout you had 200 days to find a replacement for the water chip or you loose the game.
I had planned a second play through with DLCs after I played a bit Skyrim but I am afraid I didn't have the patience to build all the settlements once more. So I will use my blueprints and to rebuild and because sometimes some mod combination will kill the game and the save game to

Might I suggest a timescale mod?

      http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/657/?

I find the days and nights go way too fast in game, especially in Survival mode, and the respawns are far too soon.

Most people use timescale 6 but I use 10 which is exactly double the time for a normal day/night cycle. It seems just about right for me.

I love your blue prints. Simple, lore friendly, no DLC's and just easy to do. Thanks a load!

      Thanks.

I have built ALL of the settlements from the ground up at least a dozen times each. I have lost count...
I have found what works for each site on a Vanilla build.

The idea was that any-one could build these if they took as long as I do and had a bit of OCD like myself. I just save you the trouble.

Some of the sites, like Finch's and Abernathy, are an absolute pain to get the foundations to fit just right!

I delete all my old save games when I start a new one, then Transfer Settlements came out, so I am having to build them all again. Wait until you see Nordhagen Beach... same same, but very difficult to line up just right.

Hello. Thanks for this. I like your blueprints since they don't require additional mods. I have one question, what is the slot number for this in the blueprints?

I currently have 12 mods so I am having to overwrite slots.
The standard version is slot 4 and the complete version is slot 3.

I compress the folders rather than just the json file. I am not sure if there is a link to the file with the folder when created, so to avoid possible errors I compressed the whole folder.
