For some reason, I don't get to install the stock. The weapons workbench menu doesn't show it up at all. Installed it with Vortex, and don't use other mods for the rifle. Can someone help?
Definitely an awesome addition that honestly should of been there to begin with. And this version is Superior to the other one by QuortaZ, as theirs is way too clean compared to the foregrip.
The only thing I don't like about this is that the stock on the no paint version doesn't match the grip's texture, they're really different. That was my problem with every other mod that does this. I would much prefer a wooden stock for my HMAR, but this is what keeps me from having one.
I think he might have meant the wooden furniture on the barrel. If so then I agree, just wish the texture wasn't so different. But ya, the grip is bakelite so that's normal.
Agree with this, though its only slightly different. better than a damn shovel lol. I could see that a shovel could be added but seriously, why did bethesda make that the default and not something normal like this?
Actually, the Original AK-47's grip was wood up until the late 60's early 70's that is. (I know this because my uncle shipped one home from Vietnam. it was Soviet made not Chinese made) The Bakelite grip is now more common than the wood, as it is lighter, and cheaper to make., more durable and absorbs some of the recoil. I also know in 1991 we captured several Iraqis with wood grip AK's as well as the ones with Bakelite grips. It all depends on WHEN and where the AK was made or if it was retrofitted or not.But this is Fallout, so it doesn't really matter, wood, Bakelite, makes no real difference for performance or weight. The best thing is, you have made it look like a real AK.

I am going to try to do this. Should be able to just change the Form ID references in the weapons mod sections and swap any reference to the shovel stock with the ID for this mod. I am not sure exactly on getting the paints to match up when it comes to leveled lists. I think different colored stocks could spawn on enemies with mismatched rifle paints. idk, will have a look. I might try to keep the shovel stock but make the span chance very rare.
