This really is a must have mod for people who like to implement a little variation in wall and shack/barn design. What REALLY stands out is the ability to combine walls and panels, a smart way to mix and match to create a lot of possibilities. I'd love to see a couple more panels and walls in red, blue and green hues though!
This is a wonderful addition to your already spectacular menagerie of pieces you have given us. I love how they all seamlessly work together and can really be used in any fashion you desire. The construction in the images was done about 95% entirely from the items in the Barns mod. Obviously the obelisk stones and food items were not.
No clue. They're definitely base game as well, but probably enlarged and moved as needed. I've got plans on adding lots of them too, but will take a while.
The hole in the ground at the settlement: The boulders you see sticking out of the ground like roundish rocks are the ends of the long rock columns. I duplicated them with Place Everywhere, re-scaled them up, then slid them in place (rotating, turning and elevating). To build outside the standard building area and give me the ledge to work on, I also used the mod -Portable Workshop to create custom locations or add to an existing one. You can, of course, just use the Place mod, set the item in the standard build area, then move it out. With all i do, its just easier to have a separate workshop. You can slide it (the portable workshop) out of the way when done with it or remove the workshop completely (i don't recommend)
You do need to console in settlers ( in the custom build areas) and they do not become part of the location, but once consoled in, they stay there. player.placeatme 20593 1 <--- gives you 1 settler in your present location.
*building hint* I always go into TCL mode and check all over the area prior to building. You can find interesting things Bethesda left behind or used. It can also give you ideas on how to use an item in a different way then one would expect. Over time, all your building pieces become the same in your eyes. You start seeing each menu item as part of something larger and more glorious "thing" then it appears by itself
Ethreon's mods give me so many pieces to use with limitless possibilities when added together. Master Plan is really the only building mod i need.
I'm a simple guy, I see Ethreon mod, I download and endorsed. And since I'm starting a new game, I think I'd like to try new mods like this
On a non-related note, I've noticed that Homemaker is recently updated, would you recommend on using that mod? Your opinion weigh a lot since you're one of the modders which can be said to be prominent in building & settlement mods
Sure, as long as you get the SKE copy sharlikran is maintaining, otherwise you'd have to deal with cramped menus and other issues. There are some snapping/mesh issues, but you can always use alternate mods for those.
Thank you for the prompt reply, appreciate it! May I know which mods are the better options to substitute Homemaker? I know SSEX is good and retaining that for my new playthrough.
Well, dunno. I've made everything I needed with the exception of a few things here and there. You can also check G2M and ad3d0, as well as Sarinia and Friffy for more items. There, I found the article http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/articles/384/?
Homemaker doesn't need SKE any longer. I don't use it though since Vanilla Extensions, Workshop Request Time, Workshop Rearranged, Northland Diggers and Settlements Objects Expansion Pack include 80% of the things Homemaker adds and the other 20% are uninteresting for me.
