There is another jetpack mod I think it's just personal jetpack that doesn't have that issue with the flames animation on PA, looks just like the cross jets ack you us d too. I'm tracking this as I do want t check it out
AFAIK there's nothing that can change the fact that having animated non-power-armor jetpacks will break the effects on power armor jetpakcs. There is a mod that adds permanent flames to the PA jetpacks, but nothing will restore the old PS jetpack usage animations, or the plumes of flame and smoke when you use it, other than removing the non-PA jetpack mods entirely.
Generally, I'd suggest choosing which one you're going to use for your playthrough, and either having a non-PA jetpack installed or not so that the PA one will work right.
The mod Personal Jetpack does not change the PA animations. I've been using it for a while. Don't get me wrong, CROSS and even Jetpack FAO are both great mods, but I still like to retain the animation on the PA jetpack without it always being on. I ran into this issue and ended up erasing the game and reinstalling cause I wanted to have the PA jetpack still work and a Jetpack mod. Mentioned it on Reddit and was pointed to Personal Jetpack. I still want to try the Android Armor out, maybe a version without the jetpack then?
