This is great. The game should not control your weapon arm for you after shooting. Fallout 4 is a good game only after you remove all the garbage and there seems to be endless garbage.
Have a question for you. Some weapons do have aim model, but they do not contain recoil - diminish spring force. If they do not have those lines, how am I supposed to edit their aim model?
This mod has a cool idea. As far as realism go, you don't actually have to readjust aim or compensate for the recoil. Actually, the first thing they tell when firing a gun is to not compensate for the recoil, just hold the gun tightly and wait for the gun to return to its initial position.
This mod is awesome! It's amazing how much this one change improves the feel of the guns in the game. It also helps balance out the semi- and fully- automatic weapons, because the auto reset rewards slow shooting and makes bursts of automatic fire less intuitive to control.
Awesome mod! It's improved my control with automatic weapons by A LOT. The only downside is that it also affects sniper weapons which means a lot of dragging the mouse after each shot (until you get decent stocks anyway)
It'd be 10/10 if it didn't affect single shot sniper scoped weapons, but it's still a solid 7/10!
hay i see a lot of comments here saying that bethesda add this for console players and i just want to say as a console/controller player i also find the fact that the aim resets annoying.
I always felt like the default auto-recoil was added for consoles and people who would find the concept of recoil too difficult. As a person who plays pc only and has an understanding of firearm physics,Thank you for making this mod.
It's really easy to add compatibility for any modded weapons you have that include new aim models.
1. Open this plugin and all of your weapon mod plugins in FO4Edit, with this plugin last in your load order. 2. Go through each weapon plugin and see which ones contain a category for "Aim Model." You can ignore the ones that don't, because they use vanilla game aim models which are already affected by this mod. 3. Go into the "Aim Model" category for each plugin and copy any values you see into this plugin as overrides (right click -> "Copy as override into...") 4. In each record, find the value called "Recoil - Diminish Spring Force" and change it to 0. Do this for all of the records.
If done correctly, this mod should be applied to every weapon in your game.

Waiting for your response.

Just tested it - Seemed to work for several of the guns in DOOMbased Merged Weapons mod.
Loaded this mod last in load order, after all weapon mods.
Some bounce back, some remain where the last round fired - just as we want!
