    Hi everyone

Edit: 1.3 is here : reworked 6 of the 9 female styles, minor changes, most notably fixed the front hairline of "Nemesis" and some mesh corrections of "Gory Glory" and "the Mane" and a puffed up curlyponytail3. Also opsy the neck hairs of most of the Curly Ponytail versions.

Edit: 1.2 is here and since Azar added 2 nice dread styles recently, this could be my last update.
Fixed some issues with 2 of the styles, Nemesis and Gory Glory now have the intended hairlines AND I was feeling lucky enough to convince Glory to go curly and a tad brighter, I like it.

Edit: New version 1.1 is there, sorry I made a mistake with marking them unisex - wrong hairline, and with the right one it looked still terrible so I made them all female only BUT I made 3 new styles from Vanilla styles for males only AND I added 5 new styles also made from vanilla meshes too. So it's 13 styles in total now. Pics coming soon

I used Outfit Studio to create the retexture, I imported the mesh files of every hair I wanted to do one by one, right click on the mesh, select properties, delete the original material file and replace it with the vanilla curly1_1bit material file. Then export, save as a new file in the game directory(you can look up where it needs to go in the loose folders under the meshes category).
Then I used Archive2 to get to the vanilla material files and copied them to the correct folder in the game data structure. The same I did with the vanilla texture files of the curly hair.
Afterwards, I opened CK, loaded only the master file of the game and created the new hairstyles(CK found everything), added new hairlines(hair 25 and 28 hairlines are the vanilla curly ones for females and are the only useful since they cover the whole head and not only forehead, temples and neck like the other ones. Keep in mind the new textures are more like a net and so partially transparent. For the males, it's a bit more complicated since their vanilla curly hairline textures have a bald spot at the back of the head...) - saved - done.
Last to do is to delete the vanilla material file(s) that were copied there to avoid to have them twice, which leads to some of the colors wrongly shown. This is a noob way to get other hairstyles with those vanilla curly textures. But it works.
In case someone has questions about the other mods I used on my char in my screenshots, here they are:

    - CBBE by Caliente, the preset shown is my own made with Bodyslide(great mod, great tool)
    - CROSS Tactical Swimsuit by Niero;
    - Honest Abe's Armor Series CBBE by Abe Lincoln
    - True Eyes - Fallout 4 Edition by JimtownIrish
    - Unique Player by d_rail
... and my mod of course.

This mod works so fine because of Azarkiowa's great work with the meshes and all. I highly recommend his mod.

Can we please get some more male hairstyles?? I am a dark-skinned male that would love to have longer styled curly hair. The Urban Ranger just doesn't cut it for me, I don't even like the straight variation of that hairstyle. So if it isn't too much can we get some more conversions of different Fo4 hairstyles to curly for males.

All these hairs are invisible in game, even when this is the only mod installed. Please help?

fixed by adding this to Fallou4Custom.ini
sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS, TEXTURES, MUSIC, SOUND, INTERFACE, MESHES, PROGRAMS, MATERIALS, LODSETTINGS, VIS, MISC, SCRIPTS, SHADERSFX\

      Hello,

I have tried your solution, but the mod still has the 'invisible' issue for me. Any other ideas on how to get it to work? Thank you!

Since you were upset no one made dreads why didn’t you just retexture Azar’s hairstyles? He already said you could use them and it’s clear you know how since you did it with some of his other “straight” hairstyles. Not sure if this thread is archived, but it’s just something I was wondering.

THANK YOU! as a girl who plays this and has curly hair I was looking everywhere for a mod like this because it's like every hair mod only is straight hair so thank you very much.

You're the second one in 3 months mentioning a blurry mess. Could you send a screen shot to me via pm?
I suspect another mod changing the vanilla curly hair textures or the material files or both - that could create a conflict. I could try to make a patch or something, but I don't know what mods do that or anything else of that matter, it still works on my install.

Most of the pics show Niero's CROSS swimsuit and Honest Abe's Female CBBE armor. I use CBBE only through unique player, everyone else is vanilla.
Thanks, she's a looker but she is not very far from the vanilla preset I used... there are 2 truly black female presets, one with sad eyes, the other with happy eyes, I used the happy eyes one. Maybe I load it up, you're right there are very few ethnic presets as of now.

Zone... I am trying to sort of solicit various mod Authors to create a sort of All-in 1 mod collaboration... the idea is to create Jeri Ryan's character from Star Trek Voyager, Seven of Nine. I have already managed to get Mystolle who has a variety of Looks menu and Bodyslide presets to agree to add a 'Seven character to her collection...I have also put out a request for assistance on creating a bodysuit and minimal Borg prosthetics... so I was wondering if YOU might be interested in adding to the Collab'...by creating the very unique HAIRSTYLE of Seven's ...

Cool idea, Seven would fit FO4 like a bum a bucket. But as of now I'm not a builder, that's something I want to get into but could take some time...
Did you ask Azarkiowa? Some of his hairstyles have a hat version with the neck/back of the head section already looking like her usual duty style. That might be something to start from. Given the amount of time it takes even for an experienced person to create a genuine haircut it's doubtful he does a single style on request BUT asking can't hurt...
Seven's long, open style is already pretty much there, even the vanilla elegant one comes pretty close and KS Hairdos Apachii has also a style like it - "Born to Die". But then, her open style is not as iconic as her duty-"stacked-up" style. And there is none like it, you're right.
Like I did this mod, by willing it into reality, is not an option I fear. I'll get back to you as soon as I figure out what's realistic to expect and doable from my side.

That's the thought I had... that with all it takes to put something like that together... doing it just for one style... that sort of invisible bunwouldn't be that efficient ... My thinking though was that even with the CK... dialing in a specific person is near impossible. so if you nail those few unique attributes it carries the rest... That inverted bun she wears which you rightly refer to as her more iconic look would be just that attribute that SELLS the whole... the Optical, hand and ear prosthetics ALSO make it so there is no doubt.

I absolutely appreciate the response and I will take your suggestion and ask Azarkiowa .. Keep an eye out for Mystolle's preset too... she expects to add it to he collection in a couple weeks..
