AZRAEL'S S.P.E.C.I.A.L. RINGS
=======================

DESCRIPTION

This mod adds to Fallout 4 a set of seven standalone rings, each one with its own color and effect based in the attributes depicted in the book "You're S.P.E.C.I.A.L.!", which are: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck.

The mod is completely independent from the game, with its own effects (enchantments), and Material, Meshes, and Textures files, and it's available in two different ways for installation: Loose Files and packed in BA2-format. Also is included optional textures for the color of the rings, and optional plugins with different values.

I made this because most ring mods I found were only texture replacements, or directly modify the two wedding rings found in the game. I personally prefer something new added to the game, and leave the original rings alone.

FEATURES

Each ring has its own effect and color, and adds +2 to one of the attributes, depending of the ring. By default, these values are:

• Strength Ring: Adds +2 to Strength.
• Perception Ring: Adds +2 to Perception.
• Endurance Ring: Adds +2 to Endurance.
• Charisma Ring: Adds +2 to Charisma.
• Intelligence Ring: Adds +2 to Intelligence.
• Agility Ring: Adds +2 to Agility.
• Luck Ring: Adds +2 to Luck.

OPTIONAL FILES

• Two replacement plugin files (ESP) were included, in case you consider the values added by the rings too much or too low. The rings will add +1 or +3 to each attribute, depending of each ring. These require any of the main files (Loose Files or BA2) already installed. Extract and overwrite in the "Data" folder of the game.
• Texture replacements for the color of each ring. These are: same colors but "Darker & Less Colorful" for a more serious tone, "Silver", and "Darker Silver". The Silver colors are all the same, but each ring has a different Specular Color (set in the Material files). These require any of the main files (Loose Files or BA2) already installed. Extract and overwrite in the "Data" folder of the game.

HOW TO GET

• In General Atomics Galleria, in "Fallon's Department Store" on a display in the first floor. The rings are inside of a small box. These are unique and won't respawn once taken.
Note: These are not marked as owned, so it's safe to take them if you haven't completed the miscellaneous quest to speak to the Director to reopen the place.

• Alternatively, you can use the console to get them:
player.additem xx?????? #    (where "xx" is the code for the plugin order, "??????" the rest of the ID code,
                                            and "#" the quantity)
help "____ ring" 4    (use to help you get the exact BaseID for each ring with "____" as the name of the attribute,
for example: help "charisma ring" 4)
• The list of IDs with the "??????" of each ring is at the end of this Description.

HOW TO INSTALL

• If you're using mods on Fallout 4 you should know by now, but if not, refer to this guide.
• Install first any of the main files (Loose Files or BA2), and then install over them the optional files you want.

UNINSTALL

[Step #1] Unequip the ring you're using –and just in case for safety– drop all the rings, or use the console command "player.removeitem xx?????? #" to remove each ring from the inventory. Save and close the game.
[Step #2] Disable the mod, and delete its files manually or using your favorite mod manager. Remember to delete any optional file if you installed any.

KNOWN ISSUES

• None so far, but it could be a clipping issue if also using some type of glove that also uses a different equip slot than the used by the rings that would cover the finger with the ring. Using different slots will make both ring and glove to be used at the same time. Although technically, the problem would be a visual issue and only seen in third-person view.
