hm.. this makes me wonder.. could something be done to that close shave of 'unladylike' hair, as well to the hair itself, to look a lot more elegant and fancy

Using your mod, like it, but I always found the ponytail too thin, so I "puffed up" the mesh and now it looks even better IMO. Works fine. I'll upload a pic of it, let me now if you want to use it in your mod, by renaming it you could do 2 styles, one with vanilla tail, the other the "thicker" one.
Managed to get it working. Had to download another mod to unlock the barbershop hairs sans the book hairs. I'm so used to using mod added hairs that I didn't notice Waste Maiden is locked behind the barbershop. Looks real good and suits Ripley pretty well.

The mod originally started with the mesh, but it was not working for some reason, so I had to use an ESP instead and ditch the mesh.
