Hello, my pc is 6y/o and I wanted your advice on my config.

    Graphics : GTX 960 4GO
    RAM: 8GO
    CPU : i3 - 2120 @ 3.30GHz dual core

Actually the game runs correctly but my CPU is litteraly burning at ~60 degrees at the lower config possible. I want to play this game so badly and rn I don't have enought time or money to buy another gaming PC. What do you think? I tried many mods possible to lower again the settings but it doesn't work thx for your work and response btw <3 <3

These inis wont help you dicrease your proc tempeture, but sure they will give some free fps for you and smoother gameplay. At the time i did these inis it was a compilation of every single ini file that was on whole nexus that lowered graphic settings using inis (as mod or as ini file, no matter, some mods just replaced lines in inis), actually I looked through every file on nexus searching cure for myself. I dropped lines that actually didnt help me and saved others that did gameplay more smooth even if there wasnt much fps increase. Tested in areas with vines/in dungeons etc. Its not so hard to change lines by yourself and see what is better for you. From 1.2.1 version and next, this is totaly for test, but it worked fine for me, I even started moding a game with older versions, was fun, I had rather stable 25-35 fps, but picture was smooth enough, without a fps meter I could tell it was looking like 35-40. Just try versions one by one, and see what is more appropriate for you. More: you can google lines easily and search right values for them you can use or replace values to a bit higher or vanilla if you dont like them.
(sorry, I am not checking here since I've done all I can)
(there was a giant ini on nexus that contained ALL the lines could be used for lowering the graphics, but it seemed to me nothing from there will help, some I tested, some just skipped cause they were doing no help, if smbd still need more optimization they can check there, it would be cool if find smth cause I didnt)

your ini are the best i've found so far, my fps was in average of 14 fps and now are around 25/30 is more playble now than before
i've no problem with your ini, the shadow has issue but that's not your fault, i think it's the engine problem. so, many thanks! *endorse* <3

Hey, so ive been struggling to get through your list of mods, I installed the first two after literally a day and a half of trying. It has helped somewhat with my fps but now I am attempting to get this mod working and I have to be honest. I have NO CLUE what to do based on the guidelines provided. Does anyone have a youtube tutorial or something? pretty please with cream on top? Would love to play f4 smoothly- as it stands I can only walk around (and I mean walk because if i run the fps doesnt catch up untill ive already run off a rooftop or some such) and use vats for combat.

Just change the text and values in ini files to what you need, copy from description from here, paste to inis, its easy, you can not make busy you brain and just change videocard name in ini and thats all, all other guidelines for those who has problems glithces and crushes, if its not crushing or looking bad you have no need to change there anything. Im sorry but if 1.2.4 ini version is not enough for you and not giving you 25-35 fps its probably nothing I can do, its very hard to find why you still got bad fps without testing it irl.

Can't endorse enough. I've tried lots of things, but your only inis and recommended mods made the game playable for me. Indoors were particularly bad for me, especially large areas, but it changed a 11 fps to 20~25. Outdoors now run really smooth. Thank you!

np, probably I did it for myself for stable play, and after hours of testing and googling I thought it would be nice to share, maybe it can help smbd else with the notebook like mine, did maybe 20+ hours testing with fps meter, had 100+ hours of nice gameplay, it was fun both

How to defeat crashes when the screen goes white? Specifically in cryo pod or in Memory Den.

It was my mistake I think, probably with lines where hash ammount set, made it to small trying to fix hdd to videocard problem, if it happens, return your default hash lines, havent seen this problem, even I tried half of locations in game with this lines (circle drop didnt work in most hard locations without changing game hash, it was somehow connected to it, so I did it \lol/, sorry I bought new pc, wont fix :3)

Hello, im having some weird light problems, like when i walk, lights go crazy. Game still playable, but is kinda annoying, do you know if there is a way to fix that changing something in the ini? Before when i had the low setting (Fallout 4 pred) the game was slow, but with no bugs (20 fps ). Now with your patch i have 40 fps but that problem.
    Thx,

Edit: Fixed! I did what you said min the description and now i have decent fps (30) and it work perfect. Thx!
If someone else have this problem, change this in Fallout4.ini in Documents/My Games

    iShadowMapResolution=512
