That russian site is not exactly paywall but might as well be one. Actual paywall would be better option.
Since I read russian I did successfully register there, but wasn't able to download the mod straight away (it said I wasn't in the right group of users). According to site rules admin has to check/approve your profile first which is fair enough so I thought I'll check back later. Next day my account was banned. No idea why - I honestly gave my information made sure I read the rules and didn't interact with anyone on site. I had a private message in my profile inbox (I assume from admin telling me why I was banned) but I could not read it since appearently banned users cant read private messages. Banned accounts are also prevented from sending request for removing profile, so my personal info - e-mail, date of birth etc are forever stuck on shady Russian site. You cant exactly send GDPR removal request to Russia, can you :D
In short that mod is stuck in North Korea 2.0 and thus unavailable to people from civilized countries. I would advise against trying.
I installed this after getting soroka's working first, but this blur mod doesn't work for me. I'm not getting a blur outside the scope edges and I'm wondering if your script relies on having some graphical setting turned on to get it working or soemthing of the sort.
Yes you can, but the effect only works with scopes that acces the ScopeMenu.swf, the one that snipers use that allows you to hold breath, and see through scopes don't use that menu as they are not sniper scopes.
would it be possible for you to add the effect the the scopes from S-T-S? i really like the blur effect but i hate using the vanilla scopes (the ads transition time is awful and makes them pretty much useless except for long range shooting) if not still a cool mod thanks for making it!
You can change the transition time with the GameSetting fScopeEnteringFadeOutSec, I've personally set mine to 0.000001 and the transition is almost instantly. The instant transition from this change, plus the scopes without black bordes, plus this mod has made snipers usable again for me even at medium range
Is there a specific ini file you should write this command into? or do you have to write it in the console? if so, do you have to do it every time you load the game, or does it remember it?
It doesn't require it, but it is useless without it because that mod removes the black borders on the sniper scopes. You can use it with any mod that removes those black borders and as far as I know that's the only one that does it. You can even use it with vanilla scopes, but the blur effect will be obstructed by the black borders.

Love this way better than See Through Scopes and all it's extra features
