I don't know if this mod is still active, but I'm having some major issues with it, though it seems in theory great. 1 is that I can't get the radio to start after doing the first quest and the other is that only the find holotape quest starts but not the find hosts or find ads quests.
Life happens! I was able to extract the commercials and the radio shows and listen to them outside the mod. I greatly enjoyed the philosophical question posed in the Wasteland Crew's show with the Raider calling in.
And I just found a cache of music! Surprise present!
I made an account just to ask you a question though. Are the radio shows supposed to be super rare? I have four in the hopper now and I've been listening for dozens of hours, and I've only heard a radio show one time. For a long time I assumed they simply didn't work. I've heard most of the songs dozens of times now (the ones I have, at least) but still haven't heard most of the radio shows.
Regardless, thanks again! Great work.
Sorry, the shows are intended to play one random episode up to once per week and only if they start during a certain half-hour on a particular day. It needs to be tweaked a bit to get them to play more often (or I did something wrong). I was trying to get a bit more of a "day of the week" feel to the game, as every day is exactly like every other (except a couple holidays). And, hearing a song more than once is fine but hearing a talk show repeat gets annoying. The daily weather report should be more reliable, as it triggers at 7am-730am daily, I think.
I'd be supporting the mod and fix this but my PC is crapped and I don't have the cash to fix it.

This has been fantastic! Wonderful music! I've been a Thickets fan for a long time, so it was great to have a few more tunes. I am also very glad that holotapes are playable by the PipBoy, and not just quest tokens for the Autoloader.
My heart sank when I realized WRVR had one of the boxes! I have the WRVR/Casey Kessler mod, which does modify that space some. I was afraid that one or the other mod would have been cheesed, but they both worked together!
All of this music was just wonderful. And all of the quest work operating together. Very well done.
Making holotapes playable was a big priority for me as it makes the music immediately available and adds to immersion.
I definitely need feedback on the tape cache box locations. First, Dave playtested and said the Constitution had moved, leaving the box in midair. I'm guessing The Slog needs moving, too. I'm just taking this week off to recover from Thanksgiving.
I'm adding your conversation notes to the bug list. There are a few things in there (like the Minuteman tape) that I added in 1.04 and which seemed to work for me but might need adjustments.
Is there a recommended maximum number of tapes, beyond which any extras just don't get played? I have no substantive statistics or anything. Just the general impression (after peeking into the audio source files) that I was missing a lot. But there is an OCEAN of tunes, admittedly.
Sorry for the late response. Christmas was a big thing and I have both a 2-year-old to care for and some medical issues in the family.
There is no maximum number of tapes. Though there seems to be a maximum number of objectives that's messing with the quest.
The script counts the number of holotapes by comparing the loader contents to a list. It uses that count as the maximum in a random number generator each time it is selecting a song to play. The weather and the shows work differently. I'm not entirely sure the shows work, in fact, as I haven't heard them play (though they are set up exactly like the weather that does play if a song ends between 7am and 715am).
I'm still trying to find some time to work on a new version.

I made an attempt at settlement buildable objects, including shops. I think the shops are defined by types that you can't add to. I made 4 or 5 different variations and couldn't make a "music" shop. So, there are two vendors instead.
There is a cool-looking mod for settlement music, though. I forget the name but it allows settlers to dance and sing vanilla songs.
I just did my voice dubbed over myself 5 times for 5 brothers. I like to imagine that the brothers discovered some tape effects and other effects they could do while they were messing around with their recording gear. I loved this project! I just discovered that this is available on PC. I'll be downloading it immediately!
So, the obvious question, since you didn't note it in the description, do you have distribution rights from the copyright holders of all the music you are redistributing?
I made a lot of songs specifically FOR this mod. JP2X was very upfront about what he was doing and I bet he had full permissions from the other musicians, as this began as a Reddit discussion thread.

This is definitely a known issue. Sorry.

More feedback please!

I can't believe you like it! Thank you!
