    Sticky
Due to a couple of comments i have now included an option to decrease XP with higher difficulties under the inverse option in the files. Enjoy

I have now added a couple of different scaling options Will not be doing any less for the modifiers because the difference in game will be negligible.

This mod is a godsend, It gives me a reason to crank the game up to Very Hard (X3 version, 1.3x-VH). Sure, im almost level 60 and I haven't even hit the halfway mark on story progress, but I have also explored more than half of the overworld and done more than half the side quests. (I havent jumped into NukaWorld or Far Harbor on this save just yet) It really feels like im progressing through the game instead of feeling hampered by my level, and the npc's I encounter are much higher than they would have been had I progressed this far on normal xp scaling. I can realistically wonder what playing the game as a lvl 100 character will be like!

[I also use Auto-didact and Perks Revamped, which greatly enhance the perk system, though I had to plink around in FO4Edit to get those mods to play nicely with each other. AFAIK this mod doesnt conflict with Auto-didact.]

How do I know if this is working or not, and can the 5x on kills multiplier be used with the xp modifiers

Does this use scripts or is it a simple .json edit? Asking because I like this idea and I would like to make my own settings for the xp.

This mod does not work on Survival difficulty, I just edited the mod myself and brought all XP gain down to only 0.1 (that's 10% of normal) and I'm still getting the same 420 XP from killing a deathclaw just like I had before installing this mod.
Now when I lower the difficulty to Very Hard and kill the same deathclaw once more, I only get 27 XP, so it does seem to work on other difficulties but not on Survival for some reason.

Though I did find another mod that seemed to function properly, but there is a catch to it:
    http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6042/?
The catch is that it actually increases XP gain by 2x, so you will have to edit it yourself with FO4Edit and lower the 2.0 multiplier to something like 0.5 or 0.2, whatever you prefer.

It's likely this doesn't work because, at the time of its creation, Survival was just a harder difficulty that didn't add all the actual survival features until later.

    Hi LBalshaw96 and mod users,

Got a question for you all: Would it be possible to exchange one Difficulty XP Scaling plugin for another mid game without corrupting the save? Like going from 5 times to this mod's default xp scaling? I hear that it's generally a bad idea to remove plugins during a campaign but what if the plugins in question mod the same content? I have used the 5 times plug' in order to get to nuka world fast and was wondering if it was possible to slow down.

    Thanks for reading.

It is bad to remove plugins if they do contains scripts, this one does not. It just change a float value. It will have no negative effect on a game/save when you delete/change to other mod mid game other than the fact that leveling rate will change.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you add the plug-in in the same spot the previous one was sitting. So, check NMM's plug-in load order first before swapping

Hi dude, i have a problem) mod don't work on Survival, Fallout 4 ver 1.157... I use InverseDifficultyXPScalling. But on other difficult all is ok. For example on veryease i get 8xp for molerat, 6xp normal, 3xp very hard, and survival 11xp. Can you help me?) and could you change 35% at survival on 50%, cause 35% too little for me

On survival the game itself in vanilia gives more xp by default. On my savegame with the high int i get 2x xp in survival with no mods installed. So this mod probably works, it is just that it is also affected by the vanilia increase in xp.
When i have checked the mod in the FO4Edit i cannot see why would it no work other than some other mod overwriting/breaking this one. Could you give me your load order? Place the mod at the end of the load order.
