Why would you play without a pipboy? Why would you remove radiation from the game? Why would you turn everyone into synths and break the story line? Why would you add realism to a fantasy game? Why would you play with no gore? Nexus is probably the biggest example of gaming preference differences ever and you are here asking why someone would remove a simple modifier.
