This very simple mod adds a second button that allows you to equip weapons and armours on-the-fly, inspired by my own Skyrim mod:
Emergency Weapons and Armours.

Currently, if you have the same kind of weapon in your inventory, the game might not equip the weapon that was on the ground. For example, if you try to use an unmodified 10 mm pistol, it might equip your better, modified 10mm pistol weapon. This is not a bug per-se, but just how the engine works; as far as the game's concerned, both pistols (modified or not) have the same base-ID. It won't break your game or anything.
