Yeah its why I wish I could script (Or put in my own game) in a Forgiveness function or a Dull Grade function where if you have approx 80% of the Recipe and missing a few Item then if you can still build it, but the quality will be hampered.
Like if you Build an Armor with 90% of Items then the Armor would be lowered by 20% and each upgrade would cost double the Material with the first few upgrades bringing the Armor back to normal.
Funny how you refer to bunnies and I remember Eddie Murphy mentioning something about fecal matter sticking to fur...my glue doesn't require Animal Byproducts so no need for sticky buns.
Hey, Good idea in offering an alternate way to make adhesives. I've been using "Adhesive Recipes-9759 v1.2"; but it requires a lot of hunting stags, or gathering bones. I'm going to try this along side it, and see how it compares.
Ok, It runs along side "Adhesive Recipes-9759 v1.2". So far its working good. Personally, I like having a additional way (then just animal's) to get more adhesives. The recipes are about right; and I didn't want some cheat. What about a second version where recipes are found by exploring, or interacting with NPC's that show/teach the survivor?
Thank you for your Input as when using other mods (Like More Resources & Pro Farming) made or might yield too much adhesive (Which recipe is too easy and too hard?) also I was planning to sort them out by Yield for Item Required (12 for 10, 12 for 2, 8 for 8, 6 for 8, etc), but I realize some items are a challenge in themselves.
Could you explain to me what you mean by 1. NPC's show/teach the survivor = Do you mean trading items for items?
2. Found by Exploring = Adding it to random container/"chest" so random loot found in environment or lore friendly places related to items
3. NPC's show/teach the survivor = In order to acquire recipes you have to 3A. Scrap to learn how to make (Like what one Skyrim Mod did) 3B. Learn from specific NPC (Say after doing a favor or saving their lives or just talk)
3C. Settler comes to town and tells of the ultimate adhesive recipes, then you and the Settler then go on epic quests and poetic adventures, finding new artistic ways of making Adhesive, - while on your adventure the Settler might fall into Traps - you both might get ambushed by 8-armed Octo-spider Bandits (Glue Guru's Minions) - you and the Settler might find the Settler's secret stash of recipe ingredients - venturing to the Sticky Temple where you meet the the Glue Guru who will face you in ultimate combat for the LEGENDARY ADHESIVE FORGIVENESS RECIPE JUTSU that allows 1-7 Adhesive forgiveness a day(Meaning ithe recipe might still be made even if your missing Adhesive, why 1-7 per Day limit cause you can skip time, but if you need more adhesive for 1 recipe then it can be forgiven too...so much too explain...in lowest spoilers)!!! - then GO INTO THE DEEPEST OF CAVES AND HIGHEST OF MOUNTAINS to FIND THE MUTTFRUIT PLAINS OF MUTTFRUIT (Not wild Muttfruit...might be the Bad ending HAHAHA) TO FINALLY BE ABLE TO CRAFT that Vegetable Starch... - And when all is said and done we find out the Settler is a Ghost of a Vault Wanderer who didn't have alternatives to making Vegetable Starch and that the whole adventure was so the Settler could have revenge on the Glue Guru (Represent Bethseda and the Minions represents the moment you run out of Adhesive) and rest their soul in peace in the Muttfruit Plains of Muttfruit...to craft to their hearts content (Ghost in White 101 Jumpsuit working at a ghostly workshop like Jet Li in that movie where the Blind Lady watches him practice Kungfu in a rice field)...The End

(Or maybe as an alternative ending, the Settler is a Ghost of a Vault Wanderer who turns out to be your spouse and used this last moment on earth to spend time with you before their ghost lays to rest...and they only appear when you leave one/no Muttfruit on the field or when/until the first Muttfruit blooms...if one left, when the second appears it will appear beside it and the ghost stays from the last to the first...if no Muttfruit left then the ghost stays until the first)...the voice acting be like what Jimmy Fallon did with that new reporter
Man I am so pumped for a mod like that, but sadly my hands are broken (in the sense of I don't know how to do) compared to my imagination. (I wrote 3C cause I took some time to think about what your saying and my mind just started to have fun. Maybe you get 2-etc from the Settler and the other 6 plus the Forgiveness Jutsu is per mission with the Vegetable Starch being usable at the end)

LEGENDARY ADHESIVE FORGIVENESS RECIPE JUTSU - (LARFJ) - How it works: Your allowed 1-7 Adhesive Forgiveness, which means if you need 5 Adhesive to craft an item then you can craft it, but if your crafting another item and it needs more than 2 adhesive then you can't craft it - Your Adhesive reloads per day, but I don't know if I should allow stacking, limit the reloads (More if you have less and 1 if you have 7 or more) or a max stacking of unused Forgiven Adhesive after days or amount of Forgiven Adhesive (Maybe 3 days or 14-21 Adhesives) - If the item needs 10 adhesive and you have 3 then it will forgive the 3 adhesives needed - if you don't want to use all 7 at once maybe there might be a button to use less or maybe LARFJ makes the 7 Forgiving Adhesives and you can hide/deactivate it through a Holo Disc activation
Okay so way, way, way back, I remember somebody saying something about how you kill so many raiders and end up picking up 55 Long Johns (Or is it harness), and I then realize to add recipe to make Long Johns useful.
So me membering seeing a movie where someone was boiling their clothing + raiders are nasty, dirty people (Where do you think the sticky is coming from... *Looks at Raider...*Raider scratches crouch...Remember Kids Next Door episode when Number 2 found out that nurse used Pink Eye crust to make desserts) = STICKY JOHNS (Say it with a southern accent)
