Downloaded this mod, however, stimpacks are still weightless. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no success. I love the idea, though.

Just using this again in VR and it is working for me. Remember this only modifies a single property; stimpack weight. Anything that loads after it that also modifies stimpacks will override it.

hmm.. maybe this is unrelated, but, imagine if you'd have to haul a blood bag through the commonwealth, on that stand it usually hangs from, connected to your arm, every time you use it, would that be a bad ingame situation? or am i just not that good in explaining? xD

anyway, this idea is cool, but the execution seems kinda.. cumbersome, if there was any hint of a pun there, lol it would be much more interesting if stimpacks could not be picked up and could be used only on the spot

but anyway, the mod made me get many ideas xD don't mind that

yes, kinda like that, except that it should prevent you from taking the stimpack into the inventory..?

Yes, this is simply the quickest and easiest way I could think of to accomplish this function. It would be great if someone made a mod that, for example, gets rid of stimpacks completely and instead populates the wasteland with a limited number of relatively hard-to-find "medical stations" or something like that. But that's a big project, and this was quick!

I agree with Jaig. I probably won't use it, but to the few who do, I hope you enjoy your game.

I also rarely comment but this seemed worthy.

    Very interesting game changer.

I'm unlikely to use this mod, as I'm not quite a masochist myself. However, as someone who does like his immersive games a notch or two more challenging than most, I applaud the aims of this mod, and the elegant simplicity with which they are accomplished. Bravo sir!

"Why the heck would you want this?

For difficulty and fun***. With this mod, when you are damaged or crippled, you have to limp around, hide, sneak, and otherwise fear for your life while you desperately scavenge for a stimpack to inject or bed to sleep in. (You’ll probably want to use it on Survival mode or with another mod that prevents limbs from healing automagically.)

Yes, this really is fun, if you like that kind of thing. If you don’t, well then you probably shouldn’t bother to download this.

To be clear, this is for people who find FO4 to be too easy no matter what they do. I have a character with an END of 1. I’m doing a (nearly) all pipe-weapon play-through - no advanced weapons. No fatmen, rocket launchers, etc. etc. I almost never use power armor. I give my companions the most useless weapons I can find. I’m playing on Survival. I’m not taking combat-related perks. And yet by level 35 I’m already not afraid of taking on pretty much anything I run across. This mod made combat fun again for me. I have to scope out every encounter, snipe from a distance with silenced weapons, etc. etc. because if I get crippled there is a very good chance I’ll die. It’s a game-changer for me. (Using my FO3 version of this I once limped around the center of the Capitol Wasteland desperately hiding, creeping, and my way along with a silenced sniper-rifle for well over an hour before finally finding a stimpack. One of my best hours of gameplay ever. Period.)

I hope that the 2 of you that actually download this will enjoy it as I do.

All I did was change the weight of Stimpacks. That’s it. So in theory I suppose this should work fine with anything that doesn’t also change stimpacks. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now. No problems so far."
