    I'm so glad to find this here! I've been using it on xbox forever, and only migrated to pc this last weekend. Hard for me to imagine playing without this and Electrolasers.

    Not even a single post on such interesting mod?
    Going to change that

    I like new ways to deal with terminal considering the fact that after unlocking hundred of them vanilla mini-game may become boring.
    Few sugesitions:

    - PASSWORD CRACKER
    * unlocking cost (6 cells on Advanced/10 on master) is far too low in my opinion. It would be good to have some multiplier in console commands/xEdit to change this
    * there should be some random failure percentage chance (again great to have possibility to change it's value)

    - MENTAT DRIVE
    * pause screen as activator (ESC on PC by default) is ok, but... it's immersion breaking when pause screen pops out Maybe there is any another way (maybe secondary activation option) to achieve that?
    * again - random failure chance (lower than on password cracker) would make it more interesting

    Anyway - great work.

      Thanks for the comment. I can make it twice as expensive for password cracker, how does that sound?

      I am not greatly into chance-based events because of own my tendency of quickreloading when something fails, but I guess I can make an alternate version for others where it can fail. Failure chance depending on intelligence and maybe other factors.

      For the mentat drive, well, I made this mod before I learned how to make custom activate commands, so it was my way to triggering a custom event. Although now, it seems the custom activate menus are overflooded due to the 4 commands limit, I don't know if I should change it. I'll put in a failure chance while I think about it~ Other users are welcome to give their input here if they want.

      Double Password Cracker cost sounds very good especially if this will arrive with failure chance which generally raises overal hacking cost Higher cost forces me to use most profitable terminal break method.
      I understand quickload tendency as I fight sometimes with it also but it would give some real uncertainty to hacking routine.
      I love random events as them happen in real life also.
      Failure could also make some electrical damage to player due to short circuit ... [I know... I'm a masochist]

      Even if some settings such as failure chance (30%? ) won't fit my (overgrown) preferences, I'll try to tweak them in xEdit.

      Sorry for the wait, this was a long work week for me.

      I just put up the alternate version up, here how it differs:

      There is a chance of failure when using an electrical attack. The failure chance depends on the player intelligence and range linearly between 40% at 5 intelligence and 20% at 9 intelligence. 10+ intelligence will guarantee success every time. A failure is displayed by 2 sparks jolting in a succession.

      There is also chance of failure when planting a password cracker, similarly to the success rate above, but there is also a second dice roll, which means the success rate is higher.

      The cell consumption amount is twice as much now and still follows the same difficulty scale as before: 8, 12, 16, 20.

      The mentat drive is unchanged. This framework has shown problems displaying custom messages in past versions(since I don't use notifications because they only displays on PCs, not consoles), so I won't change it for now. It already has a strict intelligence restriction already anyway.

      By the way, I never used xEdit or know anything about it, so there's no code in here that can support it.

      No problem with "wait", good things take time.
      I've tested it now and it is brilliant.
      Password Cracker required more fusion cells and it failed 2 of 5 tries which is just perfect
      It's great idea that failure depends on intelligence.

      Now I know why you have mentioned that there is no code that can support xEdit - all variables are in PEX files not in ESP.
      It's ok as current values seems perfect (for me).

      Only thing I regret is that can't endorse more than once.

    A good solid role-playing mod that still leaves the original option as well- 10/10.

    PS Fallout 3 was an astonishing achievement in gaming. So many years later, and what did Beth find to add to Fallout 4, beyond the tech improvements gifted by improved gaming hardware. Actually I'm more aware of the RPG elements they REMOVED.
