Id love to see some sick Tattoos for Elianoras: Gunslinger Outfit ( Male Version ) i know you said that there is few to work with, but some badass Tattoos on the arms, is exactly what my Gunslinger needs
Nice work love the heart version, my only wish could be if I could mix and match with all of the sets since each set has beautiful art work. The feather and faded are beatiful too, again awesome work endorsed.
Thank you! Unfortunately there's no way (that I know of) to just make individual pieces and have people put them together themselves, so you're stuck with the creator's vision. I am open to suggestions (for as long as my photoshop trial lasts) if there were specific pieces that you wanted to see together. Thanks again.
While there is no way (in-game) to do it, it'd be nice if you could upload the tattoo files themselves (before you merged them with the body texture). Anyone with photoshop (or paint.net, which is great freeware I have used in the past for editing facial tattoos/warpaints for my mod) and basic knowledge in how to use it can mix and match them to their hearts content. It also has the bonus of letting people use them with any body texture.
If you want paint.net (for when your trial runs out), you can get it here.
Yeah, I'm a little leery of doing that because then people can pass my work off as their own on other sites. Thanks for the paint.net suggestion, though, I'll keep that in mind!
Ha, sorry! However, if you search for any of the artists that I credited on pinterest followed by "tattoo" you'll be able to find the images that I used (or you could ask me for specifics and I can point you in the right direction). Holy Grail is one of my all-time favorite movies
It worked in Skyrim, but only through the addition of a Race Menu in which tattoos could be added to the different body-slots available. So far, no-one has even hinted at making a mod in the same vein as the aformentioned Race Menu...
The only tattoo mod that I've used for Skyrim was the Suicide Girls one. There's a lot to be desired with how Fallout 4's customization menu goes and the ability to add (non-neck or facial (ick)) tattoos is a big one. I'd say the biggest stumbling block is tattoo placement and scale. I spent almost half of my time on this mod getting placement / scale / rotation just right so even if we could make individual pieces there's no way that the placement of those tattoos would be ideal, unfortunately, at least I can't think of a way. Though, if like you suggested, we had something similar to Race Menu we could choose specific body parts, but you're still confined to what the tattoo creator thought would look the best. We're either stuck with what we're provided by mod authors or we make our own mods.
@JimmyRJump, while it doesn't have anywhere near as many features (due to not having several years of development), there is LooksMenu by the same guy :p. No support for body tattoos yet, but if it is possible (not sure if some of the changes they made from Skyrim to FO4 would cause issues there), I believe he is planning on implementing it in the future.
@deluges, the placement/scale issues you just mentioned are precisely why I want the files from you. Yours would be positioned in such a way I would just have to throw it on a layer on top of my preferred body texture and merge them, without having to worry about placement/scaling issues.
Your welcome all your sets rock, it’s hard to settle on just one set. I'm a lover of colorful tats being inked in color myself so I usually prefer (gravitate towards) color vs. black ink. But the black inks you do have in your sets are awesome. But if I wanted to merge sets it would be to start with all of the Heart set then take the back thigh tats from feathered and add them heart set. Then take left upper arm tat from Pieces and replace the Heart left upper arm but keeping the wrist and lower arm of heart. If you see what I’m going for is basically just combing the colorful tats onto one set. That would be my only request, I love color. Again you are awesome great work and I’m not expecting anything from you just wanted to say thanks again for your hard work.
@DJEAM - Oh, that sounds simple enough. I'll try and work on it later today. I appreciate the kind words!
@VlitS - I'm confused, how would you not still have to mess around with placement? I did keep all of my .psd files before they were merged, but even if you plucked different layers from sets you'd still have to position them.
Is each layer not the size of the whole texture? Since the different body textures use the same uv maps (which are set by the mesh), the only reason there should be an issue is if these aren't for the CBBE body (and looking at the texture files, that is definitely not the case). I would just have to stack all the layers together, and delete all but this arm tattoo, and that back tattoo, etc...
If I wanted to actually reposition things, yes, it would be a pain in the ass to get it to look good, but the positioning of the different parts should be included in the .psd, unless I'm horribly mistaken (I haven't used photoshop, but unless it is a 3D rendering of the texture on the model, I don't see why it would be much different than it is in paint.net).
Only thing I would need is the compression/alpha settings to use for the body texture (which would just take a little testing/searching to figure out).
Edit: honestly, the main reason I want the non-merged textures isn't so much combining different tattoo sets as it is being able to use them with a different base body texture.
I'm working on DJEAM's request right now so I can confirm some things:
Tattoos are not mapped they're just overlays. Photoshop isn't going to make a distinction between the type of background that you're using, be it an upper thigh or a refrigerator. When I copied a layer from one set and moved it to another it did retain its scale and rotation, but you would still have to place it properly. So the easiest thing to do would be to swap pieces out but if you wanted a thigh tattoo to be on the upper arm instead, that's when you'd run into problems. If you wanted to transfer a set onto a new body, you'd have to place all of them yourself.
What's the body texture you wanted to use?
@DJEAM - Finished that texture for you and uploaded it. There's a pic in the photo album I linked, it's the last one.
