This small mod combines the Auto-Butcher and Robot Disassembler into a single machine called the "Carcass Destructurer". It processes both critters and robots. It is an addon for Manufacturing Extended by Kentington. It will not work as a stand-alone. Like its parent, it requires the Contraptions DLC to run.

This mod was built against FO4 1.7.12 and Manufacturing Extended 1.4. All of the functionality it has is through delegation to the scripts in the parent mod, all I did was tweak the inputs to accept both meaty critters and robots. The crafting cost of this new machine is equal to the sum of the two machines that it replaces--as is the power usage.

Why would you need this? I personally use it with an enemy spawner and a recycler to farm meat and robot parts.

This work is covered under the Unlicense. Do with it what you will.

Usage Tips (Things to try if you think you've got a bug):
  • If you put in something it doesn't know how to process, it will not do the processing animation.
  • If you put in something it doesn't know how to process, it will physically block the input, so that things get jammed up; sometimes you can "see" the bad object and pull it out manually.
  • Even if it should be able to process things, it will sometimes just not be happy. I will often "store" the machine and replace it in order to clear this.
  • If that doesn't work, and it still acts strange, try removing anything that might be clipping it. I use Place Everywhere, and it can cause meat to spawn on the floor instead of the interior.
  • If none of those work, feel free to submit a bug to me, but only if there isn't already a bug filed for the same thing with the parent mod. I should inherit the base behaviors from that mod, which should include bug fixes. This mod will only need an update if there is either a large change to the parent's butchering scripts, or new "races" need to be added to the machine.

Updating Instructions:
Placed version of the machine need to be stored into the workshop and then replaced in order to make certain that they update to the latest version of this mod. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Update 20181119: There has been a lot of nice new machinery out there. One that completely replaces my own is Better Manufacturing by wrathmaniac. It not only has a better (updated) version of my machine, it also has a large hopper version which is super convenient for dumping bodies in. You are welcome to do what you want with my mod, but I have been personally using his stuff for months.
