along with an update.. why?.. heck just tell them Large Barge sent ya.. ha ha ha...... a 'Big Adventure' awaits. build it with sim settlements add-on 'Flotsam and Jetsam" ; 0
still need to test it... but i think will be back for and endorsement
@fastburn3d Soz I haven't played the game in a while didn't realise it needed an update. What problems are you having? Just not working because of updates? I will reinstall and have a look at it as soon as I can. Also soz for late reply never saw messages until now.
I have a question i have been trying to make the same concept but every time i get into the game i cant build on the barge how do you make those objects (Barge) so you can build on them?
Are you sure you are using the correct ones? Im not sure if there are other ones, But I just placed the barge pieces together and it seemed to work fine.
I'd love a version that doesn't have the dirt for food, cause I've been looking for a big flat area to build a private base with no settlers. I just want to set up an armory, maybe a manufacturing facility. Stuff like that.
Sorry its been awhile since ive played FO4 but I do believe I removed the dirt from all versions, I cant remember 100% though so please let me know and I will have a look at it.
I started building on the barge and a strange thing happened when I placed and powered up the recruitment beacon. Almost all new settlers tend to appear as friendly Radroaches.
I am using a lot of mods, I have some settler mods, such as Better Settlers, Don't Call Me Settler, Lots More Settlers And Enemies and others. My Settlers are named, so when I started VATS, I saw that the Radroaches were called like Yvette and Jasmine. Using "recycle actor" worked on them, but a lot of tries resulted in another friendly Radroach.
Thinking about it, this is a new playthrough so I haven't gotten to testing it in other settlements, but I will. I had the barge activated during my previous playthroughs and other settlements worked fine. This is the first time I tried the barge.
Hey Watchdog. Yeah that is a strange one right there, Ive not had any reports on this from other user or had the issue myself so i'm not sure how I might fix it. Quite possible its one of the other mods you use. If you do manage to find outif it is one of them could you please let me know which one it was and I can try and see what I can do. Thank you.
Spent most of my time so far building floors and walls on the barge... and I just noticed that the bell in resources>miscellaneous is missing. The one that calls all the settlers to it. That's a pretty big bummer with as large of a settlement this is. Do you think you could fix this, please?
Hey amber1019, Sorry about late reply. Im not so sure this is a problem with my mod as it doesn't add or remove anything to workshop lists. Do you have any other mods installed? If you could let me know if the problems still persists with out other mods installed (if thats possible haha) I will have and look and see what I can do.
No problem, at least you replied! And actually, disregard this. I've been really sick with a sinus infection. Been loopy and out of it. I just went and checked again and the bells are there in the resources category. I don't know what was going on before. I'm sorry!
Its fine not to worry, There is alot of stuff in the workshop menu to go through, so its easy to kinda misplace stuff haha. I hope you feel better soon anyway.
Okay-ah... request numero two: since I've started expanding the build on the barge, my credit meter top right is filling-up at an alarming rate, even with DDProductions' Khassar De Templari Increased Build set at 30x... so, could you, in a possible update, seriously increase the build limit for the barge?
Hey Jimmy sorry bout late reply again, I will look into doing this for you just not sure what I need to change to make it so, But in the mean time what I use personally is a batch file from GrimTech here on the nexus which has the following code/stuff inside setav 349 3675555555.00 setav 34B 3675555555.00 getav 349 getav 34B
This works on any settlements. Basically you open the workshop by clicking on the workshop bench then open the console and click on the bench with the cursor, Then type "bat settlement" (no quote marks) hit enter, Exit the workshop and re-enter and it should show an empty meter.
You can download his batch file here http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/818/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D818&pUp=1 or you can make your own with the code/stuff I pasted above.
I will try and figure out how to make it so this is not needed, But it works for now. Let me know if you need any help getting it to work or making your own one, Plus let me know if it works for you. More than happy to help.
It would be great to have a version with a navmeshed path to the settlement from the mainland. Something like boats with planks over them or something along those lines. This would enable Provisioners to actually reach to the settlement.
Sorry bout late reply, I forgot to mention I have uploaded a version with a bridge from Warwick Homestead, Hopefully this will work for any settlers trying to reach the barge. Please let me know if you have any problems. I thought this was the best route as other directions were a much further distance to the shoreline.
Anyway thanks for your feedback and I hope you like the new addition.
I've created my own bridge to Warwick. Can't remember from which mod the bridge is part of, but provisioners on occasion use the bridge. That is, when they're not standing around waiting for their submersible Brahmins to emerge from the deep when they've finished snorkling underneath the barge
Yeah that will work also as I guess the parts from the mod will be pre-navmeshed (I think that makes sense), Unless like you said Jimmy they are waiting for the snorkling Brahmin haha.

I am unfortunately unable to single out the specific mod conflict that does this, but I am quite certain it is not your mod afterall.
