This is a closest thing I found to a gas gun. Interesting, so much gas mask mods and no gas weapons whatsoever.

Mod request, not necessarily to zantetzou - Can someone make a gas gun that will scare and hallucinate (hallucigen inc grenades) your enemies kinda like a Scarecrow (batman villain) gas variant?

We've created a patch for compatibility with Bhaal's Better Sorting mod, and can be found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18380/

This is great, I've been looking for Children of Atom themed weapons. Any plans to make more radiation weapons?

if more people want more i can try to make some but i have no modeling skills so they would be re-textures of vanilla weapons, which kinda makes sense anyway

A lot of weapons can use each other's mods without them looking all that bad, so even without new models you can still create something neat looking.

I made this monstrosity by mashing together a ton of different weapon mods. :P

If you're taking requests, a rifle version of the gamma gun, or maybe a plasma rifle dish mod that converts it to use gamma rounds and fire rad poison would be amazing. Kinda surprised no one has made one yet.

That gun looks awesome! I was looking for a rifle version of the gamma gun, especially one that fires radiation clouds!

Honestly I would have just downloaded this mod for the fun dungeon and new interior settlement it adds - maybe you should mention that you added those too in your description? :D

Neat idea, nice retextured model, etc. - it's just that the functionality of radiation damage as a concept is laughably stupid.

More than 90% of the enemies you fight are 100% immune to all radiation damage. The only things that aren't immune are humans, non-feral ghouls (which makes no sense I might add), and the Hermit Crabs they added in Far Harbor for some reason. I guess probably to justify one of the DLC's only new weapons being half rad damage lol...

I still wanna try it for the ghoul resurrection thing though, that's a really neat idea (and I'm always looking for new weapons to help keep the game feeling "fresh").

    -----
I like to laugh at the stupidity of radiation weapons sometimes by grabbing some popcorn and heading to the nearest Children of Atom encampment. Then I just tell Dogmeat to go nuts and watch as he slowly annihilates all of them while they pepper him with blasts from their mighty Gamma Guns that might as well be shooting lil' puff of air for all the good they do (since he's radiation immune like everything else in this game and also their grandma).

The weapon uses radiation exposure damage so the only thing that is immune is ghouls, which is heals, everything else is a rad magnet.

Are you sure? All of the game's creature use the same radiation immunity perk that the ghouls do, and it blocks all forms of radiation - area, weapon, etc.

From what I can tell, the only exception to this "near-global perk" is spell effects, which ignore ALL radiation resistance as well. Some examples are the Blood Bug's "suck out your blood and shoot it back in your face" attack, or the Salvaged Assaultron Head's self-radiation damage when firing.

Unless your damage is being done though magic effects attached to the part of the gun that controls the projectile type (usually the muzzle or barrel), the immunity perk should still work afaik. I suppose you could probably deliberately set up conditions so that it's ignored, though.

EDIT: Not trying to bash your mod in any way - as I said first, I think it's a really neat idea. I'm gonna be trying it right now lol. :P

Zantetzou, this is a friggin sweet idea. If ultimate drag, or whatever his name is is getting you down, don't listen to him. I've got two suggestions for this weapon.

I'm going to make two assumptions about your Rad Caster. Since there isn't a lot of info. First, that it does radiation poison damage. Second, that you set this thing's base damage equal to a flamed.

One, pump up the damage, like a lot. I don't know what the base damage is for this thing. But I'm assuming it's pretty low. A flamer's base damage is 12 energy, a gamma gun's is around 24 rad poison, and a radium rifle's is 50 rad poison, plus ballistic.

I'd say give the Rad Caster the twelve energy damage of a flamer, representing the flames. Then give it anywhere from 65-75 rad poisoning damage. That means each particle will be doing 77-87 damage per flame particle.

Now here's where it gets a little trickier. I don't know if you know that there are two kinds of rad damage if Fallout. There's rad poison, which does percentage damage to baddies. And stupidly gets resisted by everything it'd be useful on. But then there's pure rad damage, which is what Lorenzo's artifact uses. This kind acts like normal damage, and affects rad resistant and immune enemies differently than rad poisoning.

For this, add 12-24 pure rad damage to the weapon. PRD and RP are represented with the same icon on the inventory HUD. But they're kept separate.

Frankly, I have no idea what this next suggestion would do. It could make the Rad Caster merely good against higher level enemies, it could still suck eggs, or it'd be pretty OP. Heck for all I know it'd turn baddies into sweet rolls.

I'd like to note that I haven't actually downloaded the mod yet. I'm at a campground with family and no wifi (sad face). So I won't be able to test it for a few days.

Let me just finish by saying that I really want this mod to be the best it can be. Fallout is seriously short on heavy weapons AND rad weapons. This fills that niche nicely.

      thanks for the support.

The weapon does radiation exposure damage, the base damage of the weapon is actually set to 0 i wanted the weapon to be pure radiation since the weapon is turning this high rad fuel into a gas and expelling it like a cloud.

But if you guys feel its too weak i can bump up its damage.
After you test the mod give me a little more feedback and i'l see what can be done.

I like the concept, And I'd be happy to have this weapon in my armory ! Unfortunately, i'm on Xbox, I don't know if I can be of any use... but if you ever put it on Bethesda.net, I'd be more than happy to test it and give you my thoughts. Keep working on it, i'm sure it can turn out very well ! Also... I don't know why, but it reminds me the weapons of the NOD in "C&C 3 : Kane's Wrath", when they used tiberium spitter... kamikase strategy, but powerfull weapon.

Hmmm... if only there was some upgraded / mutated FEV agent in it, able to turn randomly ennemies into ghouls... or make them explode in a radioactive blast ! (...) ok, maybe not exploding, that would make no sens.
