About this mod

Tweaks the stats of the various Power Armor models to emphasize their strengths and weaknesses based on Fallout lore.

Permissions and credits
The Short Version:
This mod adds bonuses and penalties to the various types of Power Armor in Fallout 4 to bring them more in line with previous Fallout games while giving them strengths and weaknesses that make them more specialized, thus giving players a reason to keep different models for different jobs.  It also modifies the effects of the various paintjobs to make them more realistic, and tweaks how the buffs work to make them more versatile.

This mod can be used standalone, but you can combine it with my Graduated Strength Perks mod for maximum effect.  Combine with my Power Armor Specialized Mods file to make armor even more diverse by reducing requirements for certain Power Armor mods (like the jetpack!) on certain models.

The Details:
First, this mod adds enchantments to the various body parts of the different models of Power Armor.
T-45 - Increased Strength (up to +2), decreased Agility (up to -2)
T-51 - Increased Charisma (up to +1)
T-60 - Increased Strength (up to +3), decreased Agility (up to -3)
X-01 - Decreased Charisma (up to -1)

The level of protection the various models have is the same.  You can mix and match parts to try to optimize your particular build, each part provides some fraction of the bonuses and debuffs listed.  Experiment, and maybe you can squeeze out a little more performance by mixing parts just right!

Second, I've reworked the buffs you get from paint to be more realistic.  Paint can no longer increase your strength or agility, because that is pretty silly, frankly.  However, you can now get partial bonuses from partial paint jobs, whereas vanilla FO4 required all 6 pieces to be painted the same to get the +1 buff.  This means you can now mix the various paintjobs to look the way you want or mix the effects you want without sacrificing your buffs.

Vault, Minutemen, and Atom Cat paints are unchanged (except for getting partial buffs from each piece).
All Hot Rod paints now increase Charisma.
Military paint provides a slight bonus to Stealth in dark areas, like Shadowed armor.
All BOS paints increase energy resistance comparable to the Prism coat.

All the Charisma-boosting paintjobs only require 5 pieces to be painted to get +1 to CHA.  You could paint one arm Vault blue, the other Minuteman grey, one leg Hot Rod Pink, the other Flames Red, and the torso Atom Cats, and still have your CHA buff, then paint the head BOS silver for energy resistance.  Have fun with it!

Compatibility:
This mod only modifies the stats of various Power Armor parts.  Specifically, this mod changes the effects of the linings (the mods that make it A, B, C, D, E, or F) and the paint material mods.  Any mod that doesn't change these will work fine, as will any mode that uses these same lining and material mods instead of creating new ones.

Future versions:
I may make improved linings (A, B, C, D, E, F) increase the buffs or decrease the debuffs (or both) with quality increases.
