This seems great for a melee build, making your weapons feel like they have an actual impact. However it also seem pretty overpowered for guns. Any chance to make a melee only option?
Melee, shotguns and snipers. Possibly rifles. Everything with a high stopping power, none of the automatic. That would be fair. Although minigun should have some sort of "suppression" where firing at someone should reduce their movement speed by 60% for example.
I think it's already possible to get stagger for automatic weapons with the levels 4 and five of the commando -perk. There's also that chance to knock down your target with the sniper -perk.
Also, wasn't there a chance to get a legendry effect that staggers?
There sure is a Stagger legendary effect, and let me tell you, it's a bloody pain in the ass when it shows up on a minigun. With such a high rate of fire, it procs about as often as you recover from being staggered, making killing the legendary that's using it against you real hard. I then made the mistake of giving it to one of my companions who apparently has a real hard time with the concept of "don't shoot if your ally is in front of you". Only thing more annoying than an enemy that's perpetually staggering you is an ally that's doing the same.
I've seen this mod work, and have been using it in several play-ups, (not play-throughs per se), but have experienced problems and glitches with perks, esp at high levels.
Opened this in the CK hoping to convert it to an esl for local use, mind you - I don't know the first think about editing in CK beyond conversions ATM, where its Warning says: "MASTERFILE: Perk chain on WK-Perk (01002DFD) exceeds maximum length (100). Is this a cycle that doesn't return to the start perk?" So not knowing what to change, there seems to be a few anomalies i don't understand yet. Sound is UIPerkMenuHacker, and next perk is HeavyGunner 5. Neither of which seem to apply to anything applicable here. Can't find a reference to "100" anywhere, (per the warning message). Not sure what needs to change, but something is "off" here.
For anyone who knows how, it's a simple mod begging to be an esl... For now i'll set it aside until this is cleared up for me. Otherwise it certainly can be fun!
I have to admit that the idea of this with Mythic Legendaries' Ten Shot (2LM guns for the win) is just and proper recompense for how ineffective World Series Logo is.
Please be gentle with all the folks wanting an ESL version of this. It's just the urge for bleeding-edge load orders.
Modern Firearms 2.4 has exactly what you are looking for, It causes damage effects to enemies and it effects the player; it can even stagger you and knock you down...only bad side is you get all the weapons associated with the mod which may not be lore friendly to some people...but hey; sometimes lore is overrated!!! Who doesn't want more weapons!!!!
hey, kinda late i know but i would LOVE to see that feature of getting knocked down without dying chunkmonkey do we actually have footage of the mod knocking people down? i cant find any actual footage and there seems to be no activation in my game
this is one of those mods that i just will never want to play without - being able to stagger huge enemies and very resilient enemies with every bullet makes fighting them feel a lot more kinetic and convicing instead of them just soaking bullets without even reacting. Sure, it makes combat easier, but there are plenty of ways and mods to make the combat harder so this isnt an issue. With this mod evem creatures that are bullet spungy dont feel so spungy because they actively react to being hit, shooting them stops them from shooting back for half a second and that's all the reaction that you need to make fighting them feel more realistic and less like a game.
