Ive only this mod and workshop extended mods installed...yet I do not see the new ramps anywhere in the building menus. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Who says it was a "mistake". Why are modders known more for "fixing mistakes" and less on actually bringing fan made content. I figured that an upwards conveyor belt was illogical.
To be fair to Beth, they likely didn't see much use to having an upward ramp then they already made about 6 types of lifts. It's not like they completely neglected some kind of way to transport items upwards.
Having worked in a factory in my teens, on the First Floor, where the boxed products were transported from the Basement on an UPWARD CONVEYOR BELT, so that the products could be stacked onto skids for shipping, I'm having a hard time understanding while during your White Knighting, you're finding upwards conveyor belts "illogical" considering they exist.
Since you're here, I assume that both you and crazysam10 are either going to download this and use it, or were you drawn here to White Knight yet again for Bethesda? You know, when someone makes a negative post about Bethesda, you don't HAVE to take it personally and defend them.
When did I say they were illogical? I just stated because Beth had already included lifts, a completely acceptable way to move items vertically, there was no need to add another upwards conveyor belt, gameplay wise, this hasn't changed anything in the essence of adding something that isn't available otherwise. I've also worked in a warehouse and understand they exist, but I'm also aware that round objects cannot move up these types of conveyors, meaning it's also possible that Beth didn't include them because of that issue. They also didn't include downwards lifts, T-junctions, powered rollers, shorter corners and corners that aren't all L bends. Bethesda left a lot out of this DLC, which is why I'm aware of the existence of this mod and Manufacturing Extended, but I also don't like seeing everyone complain about Beth putting out DLC simply because modders exist, especially when mods have a habit of dying after about 2-3 updates. Most of the most downloaded mods that are on the first page of popular mods are dead now.
I design and program controls systems; 90% of the time in industrial manufacturing facilities. 'Upwards conveyor belts' are not 'illogical,' they're used when necessary. It's common to use this type (and others) to convey material up (to get to another floor, over other equipment, etc.).
I know this is two years old, but to the guys bashing crazyam10
he wasn't commenting on the logic of upwards conveyors in general, but upon BETHESDA including them in the game since they already had lifts..
he was talking about gameplay mechanics and possibly speculating on Bethesda's reasons, not at all commenting on the logic of upwards conveyors, lol. sigh. he also did not once use the word logic in any form... he said "use".
if you are going to accuse someone of something, please read and comprehend what they say first... I mean really.. how silly that you jump on someone out of defensive reaction without actually listening.. and then someone jumps in and compounds on that initial miscomprehension.. ahh the joys of the self centered internet.. and so typical of society today...
<he said to no one that was still listening two years later.... lol>
It would be nice if we had upwards conveyor belts that push items like on an escalator, it would make things so much easier when putting spherical stuff on these belts.
or used little "come along paddles/scoops" rather than a just a flat surface to help move the items along. like in some real world equivalents... you know, kind of like a water wheel or paddle boat but in a belt form..
