I'd love to use this mod but most the entrances are blocked. I've tried to disable the cars in the Diamond city entrance but I cant manage to select them. Really cool idea though!
I know it's a wonderful idea, I tried to tempt the author with my virginity but it didn't help. The author said that he no longer mods and has left the material available to everyone, undoubtedly one of the most balanced projects and worthy of being part of a CClub or anniversary bundle.
With it being an older mod, I kind of expected there would be some fixes and conflicts I would need to deal with. Here's the ones I found and how I dealt with them.
Big ass tree in the middle of Red Rocket station entrance because of conflict with Boston Natural Surroundings. Disabled the one tree in the console and moved on with my life.
Third Rail entrance blocked because of conflict with Ultra Interior Lighting. Fixed by placing Central Station below it.
Diamond City entrance blocked because of conflict with Eli's Armour Compendium. Fixed by placing Central Station below it.
World map looks god f***ing awful lol. Went to my data folder and extracted worldmap_d.dds from Fallout4 - Texures6.ba2 at /textures/interface/pip-boy/worldmap_d.dds and placed it all by itself in /textures/interface/pip-boy/worldmap_d.dds in a zip file and loaded that as a mod. This restores the vanilla map texture. Loose files override archived files, so order doesn't matter. I'm sure you can figure out how to use BAE to do this without an explanation from me.
With my fixes in place, I'm happy with it. Endorsed.
I really like this mod unfortunately it is not compatible with BostonFPS Fix, so I won't use it. Would be nice if somebody would make an update/patch to not break the precombines.
Hi Just want to ask why all the stations are blocked even if I go to the location itself? for example, the diamond city station is blocked by cars, the natick station is block by tree roots. I could release the chains but cant go through without turning off collision because of these blockades. also i cant seem to access the third rail central station, im not sure if theres a button i should press or something but the station is blocked by a wall.
I really like this mod but i cant seem to make it work properly.
Try placing it at the bottom of your load order. I had this issue with the cars blocking the one outside diamond city. Placing it at the bottom fixed it, there must be a conflict.
Great mod, perfect for a survival playthrough when you want to get around quicker without feeling like you are cheating.
But sadly and with reluctance, I will be disabling this great mod because it messes with the way waypoints on the compass work making the game direct me to the nearest station even if the location of my destination is a short walk and the station it wants me to exit from is further away from the objective than than the station it wants me to enter (mostly in Boston). If there was an option to not have the mod be considered in navigation pathfinding I would rate 10/10. I mean if I need to use the station to get somewhere I can do that by looking at the map and placing a custom waypoint on the nearest one.
Great idea and well executed! It's the sort of mod you have to have if you travel to Goodneighbor often. However, some locations like Red Rocket are very unimmersive. A station is a location like that? Concord would have been much better. Subway Runner already added a station there, could have been incorporated in the idea. Anyway, thanks, this mod is very useful on Survival.
So the door to the stations is chained from the outside. Problem being, if I travel from a station I have "discovered" to one not yet discovered, I can't remove the chain from the inside so I'm stuck
I play on survival and was looking for a non immersion breaking fast travel mode that still made you walk and explore and this fit the bill nicely. Read up on another mod that said it had 38 travel hubs, say wut? may as well just enable fast travel with that many.Love the exterior art work, fits well in the game world like Bethesda themselves placed the buildings.
This has earned my endorsement, but exactly how do I get into the Third Rail's Station? There's a huge wall blocking the entrance and I've looked everywhere for a button or something.
