Q: Why did you make this?
A: I made this in order to support modders who have had their mods taken without permission and uploaded to BethNet.
Q: Why do you care so much about other modders' problems?
A: Well Jimmy believe it or not, this too affects PC gamers too not just consoles. Modders who had their mods uploaded without permission to BethNet are hiding their mods COMPLETELY! Therefore also preventing us PC Gamers from getting mods.
Q: If you made this mod, then what's YOUR solution to the problem?
A: I never claimed to have a solution but I'm hoping this mod raises awareness of the situation and eventually get Bethesda to enforce stricter rules on their mod systems just like the Nexus team has with this beautiful site :).
Q: BethNet is new, we should be lucky that such a good company like Bethesda allows us to mod their games. They don't have to, you know!
A: Not a question but whatever. Majority of Bethesda's success comes from the fact that their games are moddable and they know it too. They wouldn't be as successful as they are now without the help of mods. So why harm the modders who give your game recognition?
Q: What's the harm? People are getting recognition for their mods anyway.
A: Actually, yes modders are getting more attention because of their mods but not the type you'd think is good. Modders are getting negative attention because people claim their mods are not working on console. If console players can be a little more patient, they WILL get their mods that they desire. They just have to wait for mods to be optimized.
Imagine this, you're a mod author who made a really cool mod made for PC in the first place and want it to go to consoles too. If you want a mod on console, you'd work on it right? To make sure that everything works? Well, meanwhile you're working on getting your mod on consoles, someone just takes your mod and uploads the mod unprepared to BethNet anyway. Console players are complaining that the mod isn't working and the person who uploaded it is redirecting the angry complainers to you. Catching my drift?
That's what modders right now are dealing with.
