About this mod

Adds real-world drugs to The Commonwealth

Requirements
Permissions and credits

This mod adds 69 real-world medications and drugs to The Commonwealth. You may also find that some drugs give you visual effects; from a nice heady euphoria to a disconcerting and sickening dissociative effect. Be careful what you take and when you take it. A few positive effects may be the death of you.

*NOTE* There are a few items in this mod that have only negative effects. That is not a bug; they are supposed to be that way. They are place holders for one of the modules I will be adding in the near future.

What This Mod Adds:
-22 real world medications
-47 real world illicit drugs
-Custom textures for most added items
-Visual effects for euphoria, hallucinations, psychedelics, and dissociative breaks
-3 recipes for crafting
-Leveled lists for each of the items added
-A quest and a script to manage the visual effects

What This Mod Modifies:
-A few leveled lists so the added items can be found in loot boxes, bosses, vendors, followers, and doctors
-Modifies the base game addiction manager perk so that the addiction effects work

Check under the "Articles" section for a list of added drugs and their effects.

FAQ

Q: Will this break my game?
A: Most definitely.

Q: Seriously?
A: No. That would be awful.

Q: How many new items does this mod add?
A: Oh, I see. I'm dealing with someone who didn't read the beginning of this page.

Q: Well, how many?
A: *Sigh* 69 consumables plus 2 misc items.

Q: Hehe... 69?
A: That's not a question.

Q: I see there is a quest attached to this mod. Why?
A: The quest is what manages the visual effects from taking drugs.

Q: What about scripts? I hear scripts could tear a hole in the fabric of space.
A: There is one script in this mod for visual effects. It won't break your game. If it weren't for scripts, we wouldn't have this lovely game to play.

Q: So you just sat around for 2 months making this shit box of a mod?
A: Yes. I just want to be loved.

Q: So this mod is you tacit endorsement of drug use.
A: Absolutely not! I wouldn't never tell anyone to do any drug ever.

Q: When will you be updating this mod?
A: Well, whenever I have time. I am starting a business and try to spend my free time making mods.

Q: Sounds like a half-assed excuse.
A: Mostly.

Future Plans:

-Additions will be made as modules
-Adding A LOT of "Chance Fail" tags to looting so one does not loot 3 containers and have 8000 caps worth of chems.
-Making a cigarette module that adds many brands and new textures (60% done)
-Making an alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink module that adds many brands and new textures(40% done)
-Making a recipes module (0% done)
-Adding smoking animations (80% done)
-Adding an ammunition module for dosing up your syringer
-Adding new smoking/inhaling/ingestion/injection implements (bongs, pipes, etc) (10% done)
-Adding an overdose monitor (10% done)
-Adding any more crafting recipes that are done through the Pipboy instead of the crafting bench (30% done)
-Building compatibility patches (as I deem needed)
