Well the way i see it is that you're paying a settler for it to be bottled. I wanted a way to make water easily but at a cost to ruin the money exploit this game has.
i like the water change to be honest when i think about it, i always used it for main money production for my minutemen empire, but i am a very strict when it comes to realism, and i havent even thinkt about that it indeed comes in bottles, wich makes the hole thing pretty unlore friendly if not very unrealistic, so yea, im gonna try the water and caps change. thanky for nice mod.
The new terminal is under the crafting benches. Vendors make a new item instead of caps and those can then be crafted into caps... so it means that the items stored in other settlements can now be pooled into your current settlement like any other crafting recipe and thus you get your caps when you need them.
Yes the default caps collecting system ingame is bugged, but I'm not sure why you would touch the water, that system seems to work somewhat and the water gets spread out propperly if the settlements are connected with tradecaravans. You do realise that Each setler needs 1 water and 1 food item each day or they will get unhappy and leave ?
The only thing that has been changed is what is given to the player when excess water is made so instead of purified water you get Water which you then can craft into either dirty or purified. It doesn't mess with the mechanics of the settlers needing water as only excess item has changed so should be safe (let me know if not tho).
I changed this, like the caps, because having settlements across the map and having to treck to each one to get a measly 10 caps is just silly. Since crafting pools together recources, this basically is a way of using this to get water and caps from other settlements to you without the walk.
Huge favor if I may please, would you mind editing out the water changes and upload it as a separate version. If it's not something you care to do I understand and can mod it out myself when I get home to download the mod. Thank you.
Cool idea on the notes. Makes it easier to collect pay without running to every settlement. At least I think I understand it this way. Shops produce "notes" worth one cap each, right? You can then use the terminal to collect these caps without traveling to that settlement's workbench? This is one thing that has stopped me from setting up shops all over. Half the time I forget to collect my caps when I visit because of it.
I think the system is set up in a way that you can only earn so many caps at a time. After that the settlement stops producing caps until you pick them up. If you've got 5 settlements with shops you won't earn all the caps possible unless you regularly visit to collect them from each workbench.
Yup, the slips are worth 1 cap so if a shop makes 12 caps in default game, you'd now get 12 slips worth 12 caps instead. So you don't lose anything but gain the ability to use the slips in the terminal to creat the caps at any settlement (either 100 or 1000 at a time). So if you're really strapped for cash you can trade the slips at a vendor like normal caps when needed without having to first hoard up to 100 if you don't want to.

Can you please make a version with the recipe of purified water 2 glass (an empty bottle) instead of caps?
Now requires 2 glass and 1 cap to make water :-)

Would you be able to make an .esp just for the caps? I prefer to have excess water to create Vegetable Starch.
