Hi Plez2MetU, good mod. Would you allow me to port it over to the xbox platform with all due credit and link for the mod on nexus? If so, would you please update your permissions tab specifically allowing for console porting?

    Thanks!

If anyone's curious, this works with Militarized Minutemen. All the spawned Minutemen patrols wear the new uniforms from that mod.

    Plez2MeetU,

Before I begin, I have not downloaded or used this mod yet. I was inspired by the description to write this post. I will download and use this mod as soon as I finish this post and will update this post if I have any issues with this mod and/or compatibility issues I may have with this mod and the other two mods I mention later in this post. That is unless they have been addressed by you and/or others.

    Now onto the post:

The idea behind this mod is a great one. I like the idea of having more patrols, especially in major places of the Commonwealth that do not have many, if any patrols, around them.

You did, however forget that Gunners are the ones that work as mercenaries in Fallout 4, not Raiders. Most Raiders take without any concern for those they are taking from, kill those who resist, and enslave the survivors. Gunners, on the other hand act as mercenaries and only care about fulfilling the contract they signed. If you want to stay within the lore of the game, you should switch out the Raiders with Gunners.

When Bethesda made the game, even they forgot about the lore they wrote for the Gunners. They made them hostile to the player character, even before they can assess if the player character is hostile, neutral, or open to them. As a mercenary, why waste resources targeting those that are not necessary for the completion of the contract and risk missing out on a future one by killing those you do not have to? That is why I like the mod Gunners Overhaul - Initially Friendly Gunners, https://rd.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15054. It corrects the oversight Bethesda had regarding the Gunners faction initially friendly towards the player character, makes the Gunners a faction he, she, or it can interact with, and adds Gunner radiant quests.

Also, Wasteland Grunts mod, https://rd.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8663, seems like it would go very well with this mod and the Gunners Overhaul - Initially Friendly Gunners mod. I haven't had a chance to try it out either, and will do so as soon as this post is done.

It claims to replace 3 of the 4 Gunner specific outfits with variations of the OG-107 Cotton Sateen Utility Uniform worn during the Vietnam war and all variants of the Army Helmet with the standard version sporting WW2 style netting and the dirty variant utilizing a helmet cover sporting the Mitchel pattern, as well as replacing all uniforms with ones that feature accurately modeled ALICE gear and branch insignia and name tapes appropriate for the era. Additionally the army version includes patches from the Massachusetts National Guard to best represent the forces most likely active in the Boston area at the time of the great war.

Maybe you can collaborate with the authors of both of the other mods, BangBangYouAreDead (Gunners Overhaul - Initially Friendly Gunners) and LtApollo (Wasteland Grunts mod creator) or JNTApollo (Wasteland Grunts mod uploader), and/or make this mod compatible with that one, if this mod isn't compatible with them.

    Sincerely,
    Jennifer M. Montgomery

That would be nice but all three of the mod authors are MIA and have been for months, I think some it's been more than a year. I wouldn't count on them coming back if at all anytime soon unfortunately.

    Hello!

Like the mod, used the raider version for some time. I did notice recently that all the raiders are looking excatly the same except armor and weapons. The all look like the close up picture with a red haired raider here on the modpage. Could be intentional, they are all identical brothers or maybe it is a conflict from my other mods. What do you guys think? I checked FO4edit and didn't see anything weird, but Im not a pro with FO4edt so might just missed it.

Great mod either way, I also use your Diamond City version and endorsed them both now!

Just a suggestion, but perhaps you could make them guards belonging to the settlement instead? Maybe with randomized gunner/minutemen armor and weaponry, they wouldn't count towards the settler count but would have protected/essential status, like the named vendors in the settlement perhaps?

I really like this. Can you make them essential or what ever it's called to not die. Did the Battle of Bunker Hill and a lot were killed by the Railroad.
    Thanks
