The Fisherman's Gambit - Quest Review in Description
Unmarked Quest Mods have a bit of a reputation for not being all that great. Either they're used as an excuse for The Author's lack of Geck-Fu or the directions provided by the mod seem like they only make sense to The Author.
I'm happy to say The Fisherman's Gambit does *not* fall into either of those trappings.
The premise of the quest involves stumbling upon an Old Fisherman's shack and searching for his lost treasure. Clues and backstories are written into the amusingly weird notes and journals found throughout the mod's locations.
Clues are the all-important guiding hand in Unmarked Quests, and the ones provided by the mod are written just vague enough to get you were you need to go without spelling it out for you. Even As someone who can (and did) very easily overlook the obvious things I was never too far off the trail.
The satisfaction of interpreting the mad ravings of The Fisherman and finding each location is definitely present.
There are a few minor nitpicks I have, but still nothing I could say overtly detracts from the mod:

[*]There is very little combat while following The Trail, probably because every location is outside the normal bounds of the map, which obviously has no spawns. With the long stretches between most of the areas, some wildlife or raiders along the trail could have spiced things up.

[*]The Cultist Temple is a bit of a letdown. The nature of their cult doesn't really imply they were big and bad, but being the only new interior added by the mod, I wish it was a proper dungeon.
[*]The Quest does not appear in The Log. I'm not sure whether The Author realizes a Quest does not have to have Markers or they simply don't know how to make a "true" quest. Having the quest appear in the log is just a nice touch, and also allows the player to receive an XP reward upon completion.

The Fisherman's Gambit doesn't break any new ground or send you on an emotional journey full of thrills and chills but it's a satisfying little journey with a silly payoff.
