It's late response. But... You can change player name easily via this mod under Japanese language environment. By default, we cannot input Japanese characters directly on the game.
10/10, I'm using be exceptional and it would reset my skill points if I tried to use the showspecial menu console command. This mod works perfect, all you have to do is edit the esp with fo4 edit (the full name section under record header)

edit 2 it dosn't change player name on the save menu tho.
