I like survival difficulty the most, but the quicksave is must have in any difficulty just because of how unstable game is and can crash for no reason or you can die just from collision bug etc... anyway this is a great fix thanks for making it
Works for me as of May 11th, 2024 with the latest "next-gen" update for the PC. A new update is supposed to come out in a couple days.
I'm using only a few other mods:
Salvage Beacons SKK Fast Start SKK Corpse Looting 76 SKK Dynamic Workshop time
and that's all.
I loaded it into an existing game and I got both the save item in the aid category of my inventory (it actually creates an "auto" save, and not a quick save - I believe there's a difference), and I also got the holotape as well.
Works perfectly with the old gen game version. This mod is awesome in its simplicity, highly recommend it if the only thing you want to enable is quick saving. "Survival Options" mod is cool too but it makes it too easy to enable and disable Fast travel in the MCM... I get tempted lol. I only wish you could assign F5 (or even any other Function key) as the hotkey, sadly it's limited to the default weapon hotkeys. Still worth IMO.
download a mod manager like Vortex (what i use) Or Mod manager which is one of the most popular downloads on the site. I started doing this for the first time a few days ago and thats what everyone uses to organize mods
Vortex as a mod manager is wonderful for beginners in modding, i'm not a beginner, but i still love using it over mod organizer which is a pain to understand, like it's technically a better program, but it's difficult to deal with and understand and if you want to not waste days and days of your time just use Vortex, it just makes most of the headache issues of modding go away, because it just does all the more complicated s#*! for you.
